MobiControl Server Version 14.4.2.1307. Device is a Symbol/Motorola MC92NO. I have printed a barcode setup sheet and using MobiControl Stage. Most devices connect with no problem. A couple ask for "Enter Values for Device" during the setup process. I am not sure what values that it wants.
Hello everybody, I have the following problem with my WIN CE 6.0 devices: we have a new server (windows 2012R2) with SOTI MobiControll V.14.3.3.1111 installed. It is an internal server in the closed network. Android, Win10 IoT and WinCE 6.5 are all connected and work wonderfully. The WinCE6.0 devices connect and after a few minutes they disconnect and stay disconnected until they are rebooted. in the logfile comes the following message: (0x00001090) [INFO ] [ 27] PulseChecker enter: Send: False, Check: True, Memory: 167939184, ThreadPool: 32767, 999, Queue: 0, Workers: 8 (0x00001090) [INFO ] [ 27] PulseChecker exit: Total: 22, Connected: 22, Busy: 0, Dropped: 0, Retried: 0, finished in 0 ms (0x000003e4) [INFO ] <165> Comm.Client.166171: Accepted a new connection from [::ffff:192.xxx.xxx.121]:49161. (0x000003e4) [INFO ] <165> Comm.Client.166172: Accepted a new connection from [::ffff:192.xxx.xxx.212]:53569. (0x000003e4) [WARN ] <165> Comm.Client.166172: Certificate validation failed. SSL Policy Error: RemoteCertificateChainErrors. Status: PartialChain. On the old server (Win 2008R2), everything worked fine with version 13 of Soti MobiControll. Can someone tell me why this could be and what I can do about it? greetings Georg
Shortly we need to deploy new certificates to Honeywell Dolphin 99EX devices running Windows Mobile 6.5. Given the number of devices we would like to automate this by using SOTI Mobicontrol. The certificates are Windows *.pfx files. I have succeeded deploying and installing the certificates by using a profile. However the certificate only installs in the personal certificate store of the handheld device, not in the intermediate or root certificate store. Do you have any idea why? I would expect SOTI to install the whole certificate chain. Without the certificate in the intermediate and root storage the certificate will not work.
I am looking for some advice on managing multiple file sync rules. We have a custom application that runs on around 1,500 Zebra MC67 devices. The device has a Settings file and also keeps 9 running log files. Our support team often needs to grab a copy of the Settings file and/or the log files for troubleshooting, etc.... I have created 2 file sync rules so far. One rule grabs the settings.txt file and drops it on a file share, and the other grabs the most recent log file and drops it on a file share in a different directory. Right now I only have the settings.txt file sync rule active, so it's great when a support user needs to grab this for a particular device or group of devices, they can just right-click and choose Sync Files Now and view it from the share. In the spirit of maintaining low data usage on our low Mb data plans, I'd like to be able to run these file sync rules independently of one other. If I enable both of them and someone chose to File Sync, it's always going to grab the log file and the settings file. Is there a way I can selectively manually run one rule or the other? I was thinking/hoping there was a way to call the rule with a script but I haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks
In our envoriment broken devices get replaced with other ones using the same devicename in soti. When a broken device gets repaired it gets reinstalled , the agent and all most of the software are beeing removed and it gets reinstalled to be used elsewhere possibly with different config. Due to the fact that the device is still in soti it sometimes gets wrong packages etc, the personell that takes in the broken devices dont have access to the soti console so they often dont get deleted correctly. This would be solved if we could initiate a delete from the device itself right before we uninstall the agent for example. So,Is it possible to delete a device from soti using a commandline or script initiated from the device itself? This question is for win ce and windows desktop clients.
Hello, I am pretty new to the Soti platform so perhaps this idea does not work. I would like to place a couple of devices in a device group staging where they reside until someone needs a hand scanner with a specific app. In case the scanner is needed, I would like to scan a barcode with the MobiControl stage and the device gets relocated to the appropriate device group for this app. The devices a Datalogic windows (CE, WEC70) so I must prepare them with the Soti Agent and the Stage Agent once to bring them in the staging device group. Any ideas how this can be done ? Thanks Chris
Hi, How can we set program to auto start within Soti lockdown for windows desktop classic ? or how do we prevent it from stopping programs that are set to auto start by default in the system ? Regards, Riad
On an old motorola 9190 win ce 6. The log file has many occurances of this error 87. Is there a way to understand better what this refers to and what is not being written to the pbd.ini?
All, I am quite new to SOTI as a whole and i have set up the device using look up files but i cannot figure out how to hide the top taskbar. End users will of course enter this menu and select options. any help is appreciated on this, As you can see, top grey bar.

Hello, We would like to use a Windows 10 Tablet (Zebra ET55) in Kiosk Mode. One of the requirements is to be able to create a folder and then within the folder have a bunch of icons for programs we can launch. For instance, we might want a folder called Browsers. When the user clicks on the Folder, they then see “Microsoft Edge”, “Google Chrome” and “FireFox” as options. Is this possible with MobiControl Version 14.1.0.1152? Thanks. -- Val
MC Server 14.2, Client = Win 10 LTSCLooking at MC for managing some Windows desktop devices that are external to our AD domain network. The lockdown seems a little immature at this point though. You can specify an auto login userID but the lockdown doesn't prevent signing out or switching users and the lockdown only logs in on boot. Signing out will just dump you out to a login page rather than re-logging back in.It also seems that if you specify a "user" as the auto login account that you can run task manager (and start things) but if you specify an admin that you cannot run task manager. I would normally assume that I want a nonAdmin user as the auto login but it doesn't seem that way works very well. Unfortunately the SOTI docs (that I can find) are silent on these issues. Anyone already done this or have any insight?

Hi, I'm trying to enroll W10 tablets with certificates enrollment. I'm familiar with the process as I did it several times already, but this time, it won't get through. I did everything by the book, generated all the needed certificates, prepared the mobicontrol server, and generated the WICD package for the tablets, but when looking at the DSE log, I see this : [2019-06-03 13:30:32.171] ERROR [] (90): Enrollment failure: Client Info is missing User Agent.[2019-06-03 13:30:32.171] ERROR [] (90): ***************************************** Exception: The operation has failed. *****************************************[InvalidOperationException: Enrollment state is incorrect. Is there a way to collect the phone number from a SIM card in a Windows 10 tablet (in Windows Classic category in MobiControl)?
