Hello! I encountered the following issue: the SOTI agent does not start after installation on macOS. The device is using basic profiles "Allow SOTI MobiControl agent in background", "App Catalog for macOS", and "Remote Control for macOS", installed on the SOTI server. In the MC.log on the macOS device, I see the following: 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Sec: Initializing certificate Creation 2025/04/30 15:16:12 (1f561c840) Sec: Deleting certificate from keychain 2025/04/30 15:16:13 (1f561c840) Sec: Error saving Private key to Keychain: -25300 2025/04/30 15:16:13 (16dbeb000) Ini: Remove profile 1 "/" 2025/04/30 15:16:15 (1f561c840) Agent Start...(CustomBuildInfoString: (null)) 2025/04/30 15:16:15 (16dbeb000) ContentMgmtMgr: This is probably a case of upgrading Old Agent to a newer Version. Is it possible to deploy a zip folder to Macs through SOTI? The zip folder contains an installer file for a third-party application, along with some configuration files required for the app installation. The goal is to push the app to Mac devices via SOTI. Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Team, I need some assistance with web content filtering on our Mac machines using SOTI MobiControl. Can anyone please clarify how to blocklist and whitelist websites through this platform?
Hello all, We have AD/Azure server intergrated to Soti and we are trying to figure out how to use the log in window feature to be able to have users log in using their AD credentials to avoid them having 2 passwords/Accounts. (Local account/ AD accounts) Has anybody else succesfully been able to get this done after intergrating AD/Azure server ? We have a Support case open but wanted to see if anybody else has done this that can give us details. any info is much appreciated Thank you
Hi, how to deploy enterprise apps on macOS and how to find out the version and Bundle Identifier of the application we are going to upload? I have tried to push the app but the status is in the unknown application
Hi I installed a MacOS application to 6 Macs using an App Policy - Enterprise (pkg import), mandatory installation. Today I wanted to install an update, so I deleted the app from the App policy and added a new app, uploading the new pkg and assigning to the group of Macs. Although MobiControl says that the policy was assigned, none of the Macs have the new version installed. The local MobiControl agent control panel says that the app is installing on each Mac - but it's 4 hours later and none have installed. How long should I expect this process to take? I can't find any useful log files. Thanks James
I'm running a trial version of MobiControl (cloud) v15.6 and so far I am enjoying it. I have successfully enrolled MacOS and iOS devices. The main purpose of the Mac enrolment is to distribute our in-house app which is packaged into a pkg file. I created an app policy and added the app to the policy, using App source = enterprise and source = import. The app installed successfully on the target devices. If I want to deploy an updated version of the app, I can't see how to do that. I was expecting to import an updated pkg, but that doesn't seem to be possible. Do I have to delete the app from the policy and add a new one each time I update the app? Thank you.
Hi everyone, hope you are well. Just wanted to check if someone knows if SOTI MobileControl supports Single Sing On with a Microsoft 365 (AzureAD) account, not to the applications inside macOS, but to the computer login needed for the macOS itself. Like in the case of getting a new Mac - the device would be already pre-enrolled with SOTI via Business Manager, then the user would simply need their Microsoft 365 login details to SSO to their Microsoft 365 account and that same account to be used to create a local computer account on the Mac, instead of having two separate accounts. Hope you can help. Wish you all the best.

Does anyone has experience with rolling out Macs via Soti? We managed most things, i think but we have some programs not deployed via app store which need a installation script. There's no way like on android to create a package and deploy it to MAC devices, so does anyone knows a possibility to do so?
As part of my demo/evaluation of Mobicontrol, I setup the base required apps for our company for each device type and enrolled a macOS and a Windows device. Since then, on the Mac, several times a day one of the required base apps (Zoom) get's (re)installed. None of the other required apps have shown any indication of this same behavior on either device. On a whim, I tried removing my existing install of the app and let Mobicontrol reinstall it. However, it unfortunately continues to install the app several times a day. Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or have advice as to where I could look to determine why this is repeatedly being installed. I tried checking the Mobicontrol logs that are available, but I couldn't find any telling information.
Hi, I cannot find a way to push files into MacOS. The only way is via the Content Library, but that doesn't save them to the local computer, so they can be used as wallpaper and lockscreen. Any suggestion please? Thank you.
I've made a MacOS Profile to push a wallpaper change. No matter what path I give, it will not successfully make the change. The screen flickers that the command was execute but no change is made to the wallpaper. I've tried the following paths: Library/Desktop Pictures/<file.jpg> Public/<file.jpg> I've tried multiple path syntax adjustments too with no success. Is there something that I'm missing or syntax I should be using to provide the right path to access a picture/image to use as the default wallpaper?
Hi together, how I can upload bigger files to SOTI for deploying? I have a .pkg file with 1.67 GB size. My problem is the upload needs more time then the login timeout. Can someone upload it from the server or change the timeout time? Our server is in the cloud. Thank you in advance and have a nice weekend Janni
Hi all, want to ask about this update regarding APNS : Apple currently provides two endpoints for the Apple Push Notification Service (APNS): the original APNS endpoint based on a binary TCP protocol (hereafter referred to as “legacy APNS”) and a newer APNS endpoint based on the HTTP/2 communication protocol (hereafter “modern APNS”). On November 1st, 2020, Apple will discontinue the legacy APNS in favor of the modern APNS. All versions of SOTI MobiControl released to date have leveraged the legacy APNS. The discontinuation of the legacy APNS means that this change by Apple will impact all customers using SOTI MobiControl to manage their Apple devices. As of November 1, 2020, customers will no longer be able to manage existing iOS & macOS devices or enroll new ones without upgrading their version of MobiControl. SOTI will issue Maintenance Releases for SOTI MobiControl v14 and v15 in order to support the modern APNS and avoid any service disruption. SOTI MobiControl v15.2 and higher will support the modern APNS and will not be affected when they are released. Recommended course of action for affected customers Customers running SOTI MobiControl 14.x or lower should upgrade to 14.5.1, which will be released in late May / early June, 2020. Customers running SOTI MobiControl 15.0.x or 15.1 should upgrade to 15.1.1, which will be released in late May / early June, 2020. Customers running SOTI MobiControl 15.2 or higher do not need to take any action. For now my client used 14.4.1 version, if they plan to upgrade the version to 15.1, is APNS problem is solved for them? Thanks & regards, Randy
