Anyone tried this before?

    Notification Sounds in lockdown

We are using Android Enterprise lockdown. We are happy to allow users to expand the status bar to see push notifications, however we are getting reports that sounds are not playing. Is this just controlled by the volume setting on the device or will the lockdown block the sounds?

Force close app while in lockdown

We are using AE with lockdown - Activity Suppression mode. We need to be able to force close one of the apps if it stops working, but I can't seem to find a way of doing this. Please could someone point me in the right direction?

Lockdown - allow access to public Wi-Fi pages

We have locked down our devices so that the users can only see a specific app and the Wi-Fi settings. Users need to be able to connect to public Wi-Fi so we have added SOTI Surf with very locked down permissions. I'm trying to figure out what option under Web Content Filtering in the Surf settings would cover these Wi-Fi registration pages (and exclude it).  I've attempted using trial and error but it would be handy if someone was able to confirm.

    Wi-Fi settings - remember password

We are using Lockdown with Android Enterprise. We access the Wi-Fi settings using action://CONFIGURE_WIFI This seems to work well, however we have found that when changing between 2 networks the password is forgotten, so when switching back to the original network the user must re-enter the password. Is there a setting to adjust this or is this just how this works?

    Android Enterprise - Lockdown Notifactions

We use the lockdown mode on 99% of our Android Enterprise devices (mostly Samsung Tab A's like the SM-T295) and part of our lockdown solution is to block the expansion of the notification bar. The problem i have is that if someone gets a text for example, the only notification they get is on the lockscreen when you unlock the device. Once the device is unlocked and on the lockdown mode there is no visual reminder that they have a notification. Is there a way of getting 'badge app icons' to show on the lockdown mode if the user gets a notification? (i.e. a little number 1 appears over the Messages app if they have an unread message)

Widget for Cisco Anycconnect in the Lockdown screen?

Hi, Anyone know if it's possible to add/deploy the widget for the Anyconnect app to the Soti Loackdown screen on a Android device (EDA51)? It could be nice on a Kiosk device to easily see the VPN status and have the possibility to switch it on or off :-) Br, Thomas

Lockdown - status bar without activity suppression

We have activated Activity Suppression lockdown so that the status bar can be shown on screen. However we have found that doing this causes the Wi-Fi Settings option we have set up no longer works as the page immediately closes: launch://com.android.settings/com.android.settings.wifi.WifiSettings We're not able to use the Wi-Fi settings app to set Wi-Fi due to the issues here: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/android-enterprise-lockdown-wi-fi-scan-does-not-work/ Is there any way to display the status bar without activity suppression or is there a way to allow this settings page to remain open with activity suppression enabled?

Lockdown - connect to public Wi-Fi Solved

We are using Android Enterprise and locking down the phones to a lock screen with one app and a button to the Wi-Fi settings. How would a user go about connecting to a public Wi-Fi that requires a log in screen in browser? Is there any workaround to allow access to just that page when needed? I've not tested yet but assume this page would just fail to open.

Enable Built in Camera within Kiosk Mode

MobiControl 13.4, Samsung Galaxy Tab A (SM-T510), Android 9.0, Android+ I have an in-house developed app that allows my end users to call the default camera app & take a picture of a document, crop it, adjust the brightness & contrast, then returns that image to the original app to upload to our proprietary system. My app and its ability to call the camera, take the picture and send the document all work fine with MobiControl installed & the device not in Kiosk Mode, or if there is an explicit link in Kiosk Mode to launch the camera (Launch://com.sec.android.app.camera). I do not want users to access the camera directly, only from inside the app so I have removed the link in Kiosk mode and unchecked Samsung Package Disabling in Advanced Lockdown Settings in Kiosk Mode settings. This seems to allow the camera, but the camera crashes and resets the tablet back to the Kiosk launcher view. I got to this point by referencing these two threads here and reproducing the steps for these solutions: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/how-do-i-enable-the-camera-app-and-gallery-while-the-device-is-in-lockdown-kiosk-mode-on-a-tc77/ https://discussions.soti.net/thread/enable-camera-in-lockdown/?reply=9b398a2d-2ca7-4142-ba08-c03cf59bea6a#createpost Is there any way around having to explicitly link the camera app since there is no true single app mode for android apps like there is for iOS apps?

    Lockdown Windows Desktop Classic

Hello, i would like to run command prompt with special arguments cause i need the user to run a batch-file. Direct linking the batch file in the kiosk just offers the user to save or start the batch, but i want it to execute directly. Packaging the batch as executable isnt working either. In the Help Section there is info on giving parameter to an executable:    So my resolution was to run batch via this linked in the lockdown: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe,/c "c:\batch.bat" But it just opens command prompt. Does anyone has a bit of experience with the windows lockdown?

Lock screen notifications - Android Enterprise Lockdown - Android 9

Hi Team, First time poster here, although I've been floating around the forums benefiting from the shared wisdom posted here for the last few months. I've run into a dead end with this particular issue, and i'm hoping i can get some advice on how to proceed. We've run into an issue recently that seems to only affect Android 9 devices on the Android Enterprise configuration.  The lock screen (when you first unlock the phone before swiping to unlock, or entering a PIN etc) doesn't seem to display notifications of any kind We've noticed that when the device is in lockdown mode, we can't see any notifications at all on the lock screen, in fact in order to see the notifications, we need to enter administrator mode, or send the "lockdown off" script via MobiControl.  Some of our sites rely on system-generated messages sent to mobiles to give the staff instructions on where to check, and which routes to take etc. When i take a look into the settings of the device, i can see that under the lock screen portion, the Notifications button is set to disabled, and is greyed out i.e. cannot be adjusted.  Again, as this only affects Android 9 devices on Android Enterprise, i'm baffled at what i can do to resolve this. ! Some points on our configuration ! #: Lockdown config: Activity Suppression enabled. Disable Status Bar Expansion Enabled. Using Device Control. #: Feature Control: Redact Notifications is not ticked. Disable all notifications is not ticked. Disable all system UI is ticked, although this didn't seem to have any effect on this problem either way. #: We use the MobiControl Stage Programmer app with NFC for smartphones, and the QR Code for tablets. #: Android Plus covers 80% of our fleet, with 20% of Enterprise devices distributed in the last 3 months. #: I've configured the devices to land in a blank folder with no payloads, and once they are enrolled and ready, i'll manually drag the device into a folder with a profile targeted to said folder, which will push the profile/payloads. #: We use the J5 Pro (Android 8.1), Galaxy A20 (9.0) and the Galaxy Tab a 2017 (8.1). If the guard misses a message, this can be a massive compliance issue, so unless the guard keeps their device open on the SMS app, there's a good chance they'll miss it. Has anyone else run into this issue before? Any assistance of advice provided would be sincerely appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Joell
