Good morning, I have a client using Android tablets with warehouse management system. We are running into an issue where the file sizes of the images are much too large. I believe it is not possible to change the default camera settings with MobiControl, but does anyone know of a third-party camera app for Android that would do this? Even if we had to push down a config file via StageNow, that beats manually changing the settings on 30+ devices every time there is an update... Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Jeff
Basic question After the installation of SOTI Agent (DO) When deviuce show sthe agent and requires the Enrollment ID Is there any method to stop enrollment process if the enrollment failed ? eg due to Firewal blocking 5494/5495 or 443 ports ? what I mean is : is it possible to fully stop the enrollment process and be able to reset device to factory ? thx.
Good morning, it is impossible to access the internal memory through the remote control. If I enter the "sdcard", I see a blank page and not the usual folder structure. Plus I can't transfer any files, even with any file sync rule which always returns a sync error. I'm absolutely sure the privileges to access the internal memory are granted to the MobiControl agent, I double checked in the Settings/App/MobiControl/Authorization page too. I'm also sure the correct plugin is installed, since I can remote control the devices. What could be the problem? Is there any script I may try to fix this? I am currently trying to programme a little toolbox for our technicians (i don´t want to give them access to devices and or webconsole directly). Hence its just a small tool i didnt want to host it as a webservice / server somewhere either. The issue with using fetch in any modern browser no is that unfortunately the mobicontrol api answers POST-Request´s withouth CORS Information. < Access to fetch at '' from origin '' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request's mode to 'no-cors' to fetch the resource with CORS disabled. > With mode: 'no-cors' it works but the browser only returns opaque data
Hi SOTI Users, I'm new to SOTI and using the scripts, but I've tried several referenced here: Script Commands for Android Plus Devices (soti.net) and am able to trigger messages, but not actually "Sign out" of Soti or log off of the device. I've tried "disconnect" and "shutdown" and "turnoff". What I'm trying to accomplish is for a device to log out of SOTI if there is no activity for a long time to make sure that someone new picking up the device will need to log in again. Any help is appreciated.
Hello, Is it possible to generate a cloud alert (or something similar) to a specific email adress, when a device logs: Warning - Inaccurate device date-time detected (Time reported: 6/13/2022 6:36:19 AM) Just like in this topic (https://discussions.soti.net/discussions/how-to-make-zebra-tc26-device-sync-time-regularly), we are experiencing problems with Zebra TC26 devices running on Android 10 and 11. Their date-time settings are being switched from automatic to manual and then slowly running out of sync with the actual date and time, without any real apparent reason. We are discussing the issue with Zebra, it seems hardware or firmware related. In the meantime, an alert to our own support team would greatly help us deal with these issues proactively, instead of having to wait for the end user to complain to us about it. I can't seem to find any setting under Device Events that relates to a device log. We are running MobiControl version 15.5.0.1021, Android Enterprise (device owner) MobiControl agent version 15.1.4.1058 is installed on the devices. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
Hello, i'm trying to add a link with a macro as parameters on my Lockdown. https://my-url/url/%MAC% In order to access an internal page where the mac address is used. I tried a lot of different combination, as Intent://, Browsers://, Https://, even inputted the link right in the template. One of the intent example : intent:my-url/%MAC%/#Intent;scheme=https;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=com.android.chrome/com.google.android.apps.chrome.Main;end Also tried with utf-8 encoding for '%' as %25 same.. None of them is working .. Could use a little help on this ! Thanks in advance
Hi, At least a couple of our users are experiencing a sudden increase in battery drain om their Android phones (Samsung A5's). The battery drain appears to be due to MobiControl and potentially linked to it accessing location too readily. The only reason for assuming location is that the location icon is now constantly appearing at the top of their screens and when you look at what is using location mobicontol appears as using it "just now". I've observed mobicontrol being the highest contributor to battery usage at 28% (towards the end of a working day) but the same user stated it was at 90% the day before.We've recently upgraded our environment so I wonder if that's related.Users have rebooted their phones but other than checking everything looked normal on the phone we haven't done any other debugging.Any thoughts?
Good day can anyone please advise on how to enable kiosk mode and multi app mode? as I have tried everything but it doesn't seem that the device goes into kiosk mode at all.
Good afternoon, I'm seeking help to set the USER DETAILS section inside the device details: Each user has its own Office 365 account inside the tablet, or at least the exchange one to download the E-Mails to his own Outlook app. Would it be possible to use this as a source for the USER DETAILS and make them appear in that section? We have some iPads using Mobicontrol. The profile in use restricts some features and browsing to certain sites, but the users will need to be able to upload data to iCloud from an app. This is not currently working - the data appears in the iCloud settings but does not make it to the cloud storage. Are there any settings I need to look out for? I am using a web content filter, could this be breaking the upload?
On MobiControl console, when I searched for a device using IMEI, I can see 2 devices. When I queried database, it also shows 2 records for same IMEI. Only difference is in DeviceId column value. I've that device & there is no MobiControl installed on it. It is factory reset device which I got from another department. What possibly wrong could have happened in this case? My understanding was while enrolling device on SOTI, it does check if similar device(by comparing IMEI/Serial Number) is already enrolled or not. Is my understanding correct?
Hello, Is it possible to use the Android Agent JavaScript API (https://www.soti.net/mc/help/javascriptapi/en/mobicontrol.os.html) in the lockdown template? If so, do I need to import certain modules? Is there a configuration that allows for a single app only to run without going through the lockdown launcher? I want a selected to application to run all the time like in a kiosk mode, but without having the user be able to go to a launcher type screen and select an app. SO far I have been able to make a single app be the only choice to launch from the lockdown screen, but I want to just skip that all together and go straight to the app. This is for a room scheduler deployment where all we want is for the device to always run the room scheduler app.
