I've created an XML layout file to structure a container with apps a certain way. I've identified that the XML conflicts with the Allow App Removal feature within Feature Control. I cannot find documentation to overwrite this restriction/impact within the XML file; this affects apps that are mandatory and suggested from DEP. Has anyone come across this issue? Is there a key value that I can use? I've attempted to set <key>allowAppRemoval</key> as true into the XML, but this didn't work.
Hi Team, How can i enable a custom image, because i tried this for a shortcut in lockdown mode. But it won't show me an image that i selectedI navigate to Lockdown > Add Home Screen Items Enable Use Custom Image and save everything but i see no changes on the PDA in lockdown mode.
Hi, we use an app that stores documents and photos that I'd like to be able to delete using the above script, however, I'd like to schedule it so the script runs daily and deletes and documents/photos older than 30 days. Has anyone done something similar? If so, what script/parameters did you user? All devices are Samsung A50s, in case that is relevant. Thanks
Hello Guys, I have a little problem with Android devices with Oreo and above. I need access to the folder /sdcard/usr/enterprise. Do you have any ideas how can I copy or transfer a file into this direction? I have no access in a direct way. Is there any way to transfer this file or getting access to this direction? Would be a pleasure if you can solve my problem :)
We are trying to create some tablets that's only for playing a certain video. I added Movie://sourcefolder/filename.mp4 but, it just gives a black screen. Can I ask for some help? Hi. Having some issues with latest mobicontrol. When I navigate to Rules and Console security i only get a blank page. Nothing showing. Its not a browser issue I think, because I tried on Edge, Chrome and IE with the same results. I can mention, that I did an operation moving deployment server from old to new server. did an upgrade run from 15.1 to 15.3 with all the versions I could download in between. I only got one error after installing 15.3 , and that was an error during post-install operation.... guess starting some services... But after i restarted the server it started OK. But still have issues with rules and console security. any ideas?
I have a multiple button lockdown on a Honeywell EDA51 and one of the buttons opens the camera using Launch://net.sourceforge.opencamera. When using Downloadable Plugin (Legacy) for RC and the camera button is pressed the RC screen goes horizontal. Once finished with the camera and back on the lockdown the RC screen stays horizontal but the lockdown reverts to vertical so half the screen can no longer be seen. Very strange behaviour!!
Hello, i'm trying to configure email settings via profile for a static office 365 account. According to Microsoft documentation, the smtp server must use STARTTLS. In MobiControl there is only SSL or TLS and no STARTTLS option otherwise I have to manually edit each configuration. Is there any script to send in order to force the usage of this Security Type. Hi All, We have just installed a 2nd deployment server for our externally android devices. I can see that we are connection from the device to the server on 2 different ports. copied from MCSetup.ini DeploySvr1=Serveraddress:5494 MCEnrollmentSvr1=Serveraddress:443 The issue is that our Network department aren't happy that we will use port 443 for or MCEnrollmentSvr1 - End they would like us to change the port. But when i look in MobiControl Administration Utility i can't find MCEnrollmentSrv. If i look in the Deployment Server menu, port 443 is mention under Device Management Address and Management Service Address, but the server address are not the same as the MCEnrollmentSvr1 in the configuration file on the device.
Hi, I have two devices (MC93 and TC26), in my rule for adding device, I have set it to %MODEL%-%MAC%-%SERIALNUM% But I faced an issue with the TC26 where it is not showing the serial number in the device name (MC93 is working fine). MC93-78b8d60765ad-20093522506180 TC26-78b8d633586a- But hardware serial number is available in TC26 once I checked in the device details. Mobicontrol Cloud v. 14.3.2.1171 Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Android 10 enrolled in Android Enterprise Agent version 14.4.6.1001 When I connect to a device remotely, via Web or Legacy remote control, mouse clicks register above the actual location where I am clicking. For example, in Settings if I click the topmost menu item, Connections, nothing happens but if I click the fourth one down, Display, the Connections menu will open. If I click the 6th item, Lock Screen, the second menu, Sounds and vibration will open. Some time ago there was a remote control issue on Samsung devices where SOTI support had us manually change the x,y resolution due to weird stretching aspect ration stuff but now the image in remote is fine but the x,y placement of the cursor on-screen in the rmeote window is not matching the correct coordinates on the device. Any ideas?
I believe I know the answer to my question but if you dont ask... I may be inheriting some Android devices that are controlled by a different MDM provider and I would want to enrol them onto MobiControl as Android Enterprise Is there any way we can do this without wiping the devices and starting afresh?
Hello all, we used mobicontrol on version 14.4 with zebra tc75x under android 7 -> agent version > 14 enrolled android + i've try to play with the new api javascript in the lockdown but until now i can't ... I've try to display alert -> mobicontrol.message.createInfoDialog() ... On lockdown add tag <script></script> add on the body tag -> onload="displayDialog()" re start device but nothing .. Someone call tell me for example how to start with the new api in lockdown ? thanks
I'm planning on upgrading from 13.4 to the newest version of SOTI. Just in case something goes wrong, and I have to revert back to older version, I need installer for that, but I can only find link to download the new one. Can I find older versions somewhere? Our current version of SOTI is 13.4.0.4591. That, or newer version of 13.4. should do.
