I want to automate assigning 3000 devices on their specific group. I want to do it via rest api with my script.
With Android Enterprise really starting to gain ground I think it makes sense to subdivide the Android discussion board so that it is more clear which management strategy we're talking about in each section. I know we have the tagging system but I think the tags are easy to miss and are underused. Thoughts?
Hi, I already have a case for this(C00275940), but just wanted to check if anyone might have a suggestion. Issue: Devices of various (7.0+) Android builds, networks (4G, Wi-Fi) and OEMs cannot enroll (times our when trying to connect to server in MC agent) after a DNS update. Everything is marked green by admin util. and already enrolled devices connect just fine. If I manually enter the enrollment page in a browser, then it is properly displayed and accessible from all devices and networks (available from on internet). The weirdest is however, that when testing alongside support, THEY where able to enroll devices to the environment. None of us have been able to explain this behaviour yet. For now we have fetched ADB-logs which is then to be submitted to development. I however just have a feeling this has to do with the DS certificate. Even though this is mapped to the correct hostname and everything is marked green (And support was able to enroll their test device.). This entry is repeated in the ADB logs during enrollment: 11-01 15:37:18.310 8859 8917 E soti : Caused by: java.security.cert.CertificateException: Certificate with Issuer: 2.5.4.46=#132433323346343431352d304146332d343139392d424430432d363433323331424246454243,CN=MobiControl Root CA and Subj: CN=MobiControl Server is not trusted Brgds, Ole

In short no user interaction. Only on the part when we configure the master device which has stage programmer in short. im finding what is the fastest way of deploying around 3000 devices
Hello, I would like to create a shortcut that will launch in Chrome when using a Lockdown/Kiosk profile. Currently all URLs are launched using http:// and https:// and open in some sort of locked down Soti browser. We are using a Zebra TC56 devices and have enrolled them using Android Enterprise. Looking at previous threads with similar queries, a few others suggested using the 'Intent' command however we can't seem to get this to work. For example, we have attempted using this: Intent:http://www.google.co.uk#Intent;scheme=http;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=com.android.chrome;end When we attempt to launch the shortcut, nothing happens. Can you suggest any alternative options on how to achieve this? Thanks, Jamie
Even though I disable removal of mobicontrol agent and prevent unenrollment from group configuration, I can still uninstall the mobicontrol agent via drag and drop (uninstall). My goal is to prevent end-user to remove the mobicontrol agent without using kiosk mode or restricting whole settings, I want only restrict him in removing the agent in any ways.Type: Android+ Brand: Samsung Model: SM-G530H OS Version: 5.0.2 Agent Version: 13.5.1.1044
Can a Zebra TC75x be enrolled as a Fully Managed Device under Android Enterprise on MobiControl 14.1? When I try to use the AE agent I can only get this device to enroll in the Work Profile mode. Anybody have suggestions or instructions on what I am doing wrong?I am currently using the AFW#MobiControl on device setup. Thanks.
Downloaded Android Enterprise agent from https://docs.soti.net/mobicontrolagentdownloads/ but it's not opening after download. Pls. help.
Hello, I was wondering how would you go about removing SOTI mobicontrol entirely from a device that was setup and enrolled under Android Enterprise using the afw#mobicontrol at initial phone setup? I'm hoping there is a way to do it without wiping the phone as I have deployed a few phones setup this way already and need to remove the software from them without removing anything else from the phone. If it helps the phones are Samsung Galaxy S7's running android version 7.0 or 8.0. Thanks, Timothy
Hello, We are testing some Android Oreo devices (Samsung J6) as Android+ and Android Enterprise and we have found that remote control does not show screen image. Buttons work (home, back, volume).Screen is shown as a white image and even if you clic in some area where it happens to be and icon, it opens the app. We tested Android+ agent version 13.5.1 Build 1044 (the latest) and Android Enterprise versión 13.5.1 Build 1234 (latest) with Mobicontrol servers version 13.3.0.3454, 14.1.6.1113 and 14.1.7.1101 I appreciate your comments and suggestions.
I tested Samsung KME for some Samsung test devices running Android+ device agent a few months ago. Does such support also exist when using Android Enterprise device-agent running in Managed-Device mode? If so, does it have the same problem as KME with Android+ device agent, namely that the device end-user has the option of not agreeing to some Samsung Knox licensing conditions and can exit the KME normal flow of enrolling to the predefined MDM/EMM server after factory-reset? Is anyone in Soti working on solving this issue, which render the KME feature useless for device theft protection against abnormal/unauthorized device factory reset? Samsung guys confirmed with me that other MDM/EMM solutions do not have this licensing prompt pop-up on the device screen and thus have no such issue.
I have a Samsung device that was setup as a work managed device. I have read that "encryption is enabled by default" on work managed devices but have seen the opposite on my devices. When I check the device statuses the encryption status is always "no" unless I manually enable secure boot on that device. I have searched high and low for an option to enable this but can not locate one. On standard android+ device profiles when the encryption option is enabled it turns on secure start up which requires entering the pin before the phone boots. Is there a way to force enable secure startup via MobiControl or am I stuck manually setting it.
I've just noticed that application stays on device after being removed from profile. Is it expected behavior or I've messed up with profile configuration (didn't increment version) ?
Hi With Android Plus i have many Options for VPN, like F5 per App VPN, SSL VPN and IPSec. Are these VPN's on the Roadmap for Android Enterprise? With Android Enterprise i see only Pulse Secure and NetMotion Best regards Markus
Hello Is it possible to configure WiFi Hotspot for Android Enterprise devices ? Perhaps through scripts ? Thank you
