Hello there We have an Android Enterprise Kiosk on which always the notifiactions for App Updates showing upp, even though the Managed Google Play Setting is configured to "Never". Is it possible to disable only the google play store notifications? Best Regards Beni
Hello We are using Zebra TC21 scanners, that we lock down via device control with authentication policy as disable lock screen As these are in production environments the supervisors have the admin password to unlock the scanners so they can perform a data storage clear of a Dynamics NAV app that occasionally goes haywire. My question is how can I set a timer that automatically reenables the agent mode after a set time or can I run a script that will re-enable it, as the supervisors sometimes forget? additionally is there a script to clear the storage for a given installed application? any help would be appreciated.
Hi All, we have a large number and variety of samsung devices with both Android Plus and Android enterprise agents. The majority have SOTI kiosks on them but we see that many are not ever receiving firmware updates. On my personal phone i get a prompt to download and install firmware updates. Would the SOTI kiosk block this behaviour ? we do not use EFOTA services Thanks in advance!
I have upgraded the agent on a test device to v15.0.1.1051 (Samsung ELM). I have a lockdown on it that was working fine before the upgrade. By working fine I mean it worked as expected, I can also press and hold on "back" and I would be prompted for a code and I could disable the lockdown. Since upgrading to v15.0.1.1051 when I long press on back I get a pop-up "Actions" with "Administrator" and "Refresh". I would expect pressing "Administrator" would prompt for the passcode and would allow me admin access to the devic. However when I press "Administrator" I get a pop-up at the bottom with the heading "Complete action using" and in a white block below that it says "No apps can perform this action". I am then unable to disable the lockdown while on the device. What is going on and how do I fix it. I'm guessing I need to assign an app that will work when I try to disable user mode but I can't see where or how to do it.
Setup basic profile for android enterprise Samsung tablet (os11) with kiosk mode (with only chrome) and Application control. Everything was working correctly until a barcode scanner was connected to the tablet via usb. When the user taps on an input field, the keyboard does not display. I have removed the scanner and rebooted the tablet, but I cannot enable the keyboard again. I have not disabled any settings or lockdowns. Morning, I have been asked to try to get a few tablets ready for a few of our visually impaired employees. Since we are running in Kiosk mode and the launcher needs the patch to launch said program I input the path into the LockDown settings and all it is returning is package not found. Example: Google Accessibility Suite Launch://com.google.android.marvin.talkback I have tried the samsung voice reader as well or the tts and get the same results. Any ideas? Having issues with setting up the intent/using Google Chrome to kiosk our web site. It is giving me a blank screen. Here is what I am using so far. I created a Kiosk Profile with Web Filter, Lockdown, and Authentication. Web Filter section I have the website of the Sharepoint site Lockdown section I have this entry (browsers://*.sharepoint.com) and the option to startup automatically at startup. I also have tried these three intent scripts w/o success: Intent://YOURURL#Intent;scheme=https;package=com.android.chrome;end Intent://YOURURL#Intent;scheme=http;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=com.android.chrome;end <intent:https://YOURURL#Intent;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;end> Anyone have a suggestion for me?
We are trying to create a link to some documents through a lockdown profile on Android Plus. so far I have a link to mobicontrol Launch://net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork This takes me to the device configuration screen though, and we need it to go directly to the Content library tab to prevent headaches with users. so far I have tried net.soti.mobicontrol.ui.contentlibrary as well as a few similar versions but none work. Apparently you can't link directly to the documents which would be ideal, so I am trying to get the user as close to where they need to be as possible.
Hi, I needed to add the Honeywell's battery optimizer in the lockdown But as the Battery Optimizer is in the device Settings, I believe it has been blocked I have tried with and without the Suppression option in the advance settings but i still receive an error that "activity not found' Bundle ID : com.honeywell.batterymaximizer/.activities.HomeActivity Is there any option I can fix this? Thank you
Hello, we are using Kiosk mode on Zebra TC56 device with android 7.1.2 and Mobicontrol v. 13.5.1 and we have problem with changing default application for messaging (com.android.mms). We have our own app for text messaging and when we start it there is a message "Change SMS app? Use app xy instead of Messaging as you SMS app?". Problem is that this message dissappear immediately (probably security function of Kiosk mode?) and it is not possible to accept the change. When we turn off Kiosk mode as administrator and try to start our app from android enviroment mentioned message (Change SMS app?) doesn't dissappear and we can accept it. But it would be quite hard to do this manual change on about 2k devices in production eviroment. We tried to uncheck "Activity Suppression" in advanced Kiosk mode settings which resolved our current problem. But another problem arose. The new one is with bluetooth pairing. Window with pairing code is somewhere "under" Kiosk mode layer so it is not displayed and we have to turn off Kiosk mode again and check pairing window. Can someone help us with this issue? Hi, I noticed that if system information and notifications expansion is available on Kiosk mode, then user can click into battery information and enter the device settings. Is there any way to solve this ?
Hey Guys, actually we need some Android Activities to be accessable within the Kiosk-Mode. e.g. for PTP (Picture Transfer Mode on USB Connection) So far we set this activity (com.android.settings/.deviceinfo.UsbModeChooserActivity) at position 1 in our Lockdown-Configuration And in our Template, App #1 is hidden, so the User can't see any link for this activity. It has just to be accessable but not visible: Now I have to grant access to a few more activities. The Question now: Can I write the Launch:// Command directly inside the Lockdown-Template so I dont have to add all these activities to the lockdown Config ? I already tried to change <MCLink0> to Launch://com.android.settings/.deviceinfo.UsbModeChooserActivity but this is not working. Maybe I have to exclude some special characters ?!? Did anyone of you solve this problem already ? Many Thanks!
Hello all, i work with mobicontrol on version v 13.3.03454 and device zebra tc75x under android 7. the mobicontrol agent is on version 13.6.1476 enroll under android + I have some strange situation ... I have some device with a lockdown and 6 urls on this lockdown each url open a web page from SAP (chrome browser), where user need to enter their credentials before to work. On some device, same brand, os version, patch version there is no error. But I have some others device, where when user try to validate their login information we receive this error message -> connexion cookie check failed ! that's stange, because if i try to remove the lockdown (send script kiosk off) and open url in chrome , enter credetials it's works ! someone has an idea about what's happen and how i can resolve this ? I can"t understand .. thanks
Mobicontrol can display images/play videos, with audio as screensavers for Android enterprise in kiosk mode.
With our TC70x and TC72 devices, after some seemingly random amount of time ranging from a few hours to overnight, if the devices are not used then they will go white as pictured below. Tapping on the screen does nothing but if I click the Square button I get the Administrator and Refresh Buttons. If I click the Administrator button and type in the admin password, then I can access the device like normal, everything is fine. If I then switch the device back into User mode then the white screen comes back. So it is the kiosk mode itself but I am not sure how to prevent this.
