Hello everybody, I have a Galaxy Tab S6 device, I used to install Work Managed mode for this device (factory the device then enter afw#mobicontrol code when asking for Google account entry), the device is still active work normally with the Work Managed Profile. However, I deleted the device from the SOTI MobiControl system for a while.Today, I re-enrollment this device to connect to the SOTI MobiControl system, of course I still install the above steps, but the device no longer works with the Work Managed Profile. I ran the test by creating an Anhdroid Classic Profile and assigning it to the device, strangely enough, it worked. I still don't understand where the reason is.Has anyone encountered a situation like this yet, please help me. Many thanks!
Is there anyway to get the Android Plus device name and write it to a file and call it device.name and place it in a specific folder? Using MobiControl v13.4 For some background info. We use an inhouse app that uses 2 files for configuration. To preconfig the app if I upload both files before hand and then install it works fine (either upload manually or via a profile, profile is our preferred method). The problem is one of these files is supposed to match the Mobi name. This is not something I know how to preconfigure when uploading to 400 devices. Can anyone suggest a way to write the device name to a text file prior to installing the apk? Ideally doing it through a profile/package would be preferred as that way it can be deployed as a required package by our profile.
We have devices where we want to install a lot of profiles. My problem is, that the lockdown is installed before the other profile installations are finished. So the user cannot finish the other actions at the device, because it is in the lockdown mode. I hope u can understand my problem. Can i prioritize the sequence of the installation on the device, for example: First --> Authentification Second --> AppInstall Third --> Lockdown Thanks for your help!
Hi, Has anyone got a list of which filter criteria work with which OS? I'm trying to use a filter on Android 4.4 with MobiControl 13. I've tried 'HasApplication' and 'Custom Data' but neither of them work. After 'HasApplcation' failed the first time, I created a custom data that was a boolean value to identify devices that had the application or not. I though this might work in teh filter criteria, but it doesn't, all I get is "Internal Server Error". Thanks in advance for any replies! Adam
Hello, I have around 250 Honeywell CT60 units. When adding com.android.settings to blacklist, the unit will not start up again after I turn it off. It is stuck on Honeywell start/boot screen, and I have to Factory Reset the unit to get it on again. I blaclist many other apps, but it only crashes when I add settings to blacklist. My mission is to prevent the user of the unit to access settings on the device. I used this controll earlier, but after i updated Soti to the latest version, the CT60 crash. So its working on the unit, but not on the version of Soti im running I guess Any idea what to do? Tried on Android 7.1.1 and 9. same result. Soti MobiControl 15.1.0.3413
Am I able to set up custom Windows classic applications on a Windows 10 laptop? If so, how would I set one up correctly?
Hello all, we work with soti mobicontrol on version 13 3 0 34 54 All our device are zebra 75x (android +). I would like to know, if it's possible to install a profile who contains a package or several ONLY on wifi ? If yes, how ? thanks for all
Have a strange situation where a certain user account cannot see any profiles that are assigned to a device. For instance, a device has 3 profiles assigned to it and when this particular user selects the profile drop-down there are no profiles listed. When the user account was originally created, the user was not having this issue so it has appeared randomly at some point after being created. The permissions are being applied to these users from a group, and the rest of the users in the group are not having this issue. The issue actually happened a while back and I just created a new user for him which worked for a while but now it's exhibiting the same issues. Has anyone seen this or have any thoughts to resolve? Happens on multiple browsers and also different computers so do not believe it's some kind of caching issues. Thanks
Question Is it possible to install package immdiately when an user tap install button on the devices? How can we install private apps by user timing? Procedure 1.Enroll device as AE2.Apply a profile which has package as self service to a device group3.Tap Mobicontrol Agent on device lockdown screen, and open profile status4.Tap install button 5.It becomes pending status and not completed by next checkin Comment 1.We changed checkin schedule from 1/24hours to 1/30minutes temporary, but we don't want to do this treatment nexttime because it increases server load.We want to know why it isn't started to install package immediately after device manipulation untill checkin. 2.It is impossible to use App Catalog Rules for private app because our customer has not Gsuit Accoount, and,App Catalog also needs to checkin for installation and takes 2 or 3 days untill delivery apps. Alternative 1.Using FileSync for distribution app and embedding installing script on lockdown. <Server information>================================================-MC version:13.4.0.5276-server environment:SaaS================================================<Device information>================================================-Agent version: 13.6.0.1662, etc.-For Android A + or AE: AE

We have a device that is connected back to Mobicontrol over cellular while roaming. The device does not seem to be picking up the latest profile version? I have a device on Wi-Fi that has updated to the latest profile. Is there a setting somewhere for choosing over what connections the profile will update?
Hell all, we have mobicontrol in version 13.3.0.3454 We have a lot of device in zebra TC75X with android 6 and 7. the client mobicontrol is on version 13.3.2 build 1014 actually, we migrate all url we call in http to https. i can install the certificate on the device without problem all works fine. I would like to know if some people has experience with certificate. Is it better to add the certificate in a separate profile or it's better to add the certificate in the main profile (where authentifcation kiosk is added) ? Actually, for testing i have created a separate profile who contains just the certificate I have a main profile where i have (bookmark, kiosk, …) and so on. I can install all, remove all, all seems to work but i would like to have some advice or suggestion. thanks for sharing your knowledge
I am trying to use the SOTI API to update packages in profiles and assign them to devices. Using PUT /profiles/{referenceId}/packages and PUT /profiles/{referenceId}/assignment our user has the "View profiles" and "Manage profiles" permission as well as "View and deploy packages" and "Manage packages" but we get response using Powershell System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed.
I have a list of approx 150 devices that we need to remove a profile from. Is there a way to do this via script to avoid having to go to each device individually or searching for the device manually in the assign section of the profile? Regards, Johnathon
