I have a site that most of their url's have url.com:portnumber/restofurl. I can add these to the surf config as either a single webpage or catalog of web pages. However if I try to call those web url's from the lock screen as one of the browser launch methods it does not appear to pass the url over to surf or the browser or webview. Before I open the ticket with SOTI Support I wanted to make sure that someone else had not seen this issue yet. Thanks in advance.
Hi i am just now to Soti and i am working on the setup for my phones. I am looking to Lock a browser down to a white list of approved sites but still retain the ability to store passwords for Websites. I can save passwords in Chrome but i cant fine a way to set a White List, only seem to be able to run a black list. In Soti Surf i can run a whitelist but i can not save passwords for a website. Does anyone have any idead how i could achieve this?
The usecase: A customer of ours uses truckscales/weighbridges. The weight is being shown on a specific URL, one for each scale/bridge. Truck drivers are using Zebra TC57 devices under our control, using a lockdown and SOTI Surf installed. This customer does not want their truck drivers to freely use a browser. They also don't want 135 different accessible URL's on some kind of landing page, truck drivers could choose the wrong truckscale and report the wrong weight. Ideally they want their truck driver to scan a NFC tag on a truckscale which leads them to that one specific page, in SOTI Surf (not Chrome). This should be possible by using an intent and encoding that into the NFC tags, right? Basically telling the Zebra TC57 to open SOTI Surf and to surf towards a specific url. Good day, I have picked up an issue where we have around 15 apps being installed from the Managed Google Play store. All apps are set to mandatory and the devices are Enterprise. All the apps install apart from Soti Surf. So far it has only occurred on 2 devices out of over 100. This brings me to ask, if a app is mandatory and does not install, is there a script to install it, or is the only way to go out of kiosk mode and manually install it from the app catalog? Regards,
I wanted to see if there was a way to disable the drag refresh option for SOTI surf. We are currently using the browser as this is easy to configure site restrictions but the functionality has been an issue for some folks and we wanted to look into any other means of customization. Additionally is there any plans on other color options?
I use SOTI surf with Lockdown mode on Zebra ET 50 I found problem as below 1. I have 4 url web links with 4 different urls 2. when I open one link and press home to another link 3. It’s was shown old link It’s not show new link Ex. 1. Link#1 www.google.com Link#2 www.facebook.con 2. When I open link#1 , SOTI surf open www.google.com then I click home for back to lockdown home screen 3. I open link#2, It should be to open www.facebook.com but it have been shown www.facebook.com ( android 5.1) and mobicontrol server version 15

Hi,I wanted to make kiosk mode browser with one page and remove navigation bar (the one with Back, Home, Recent buttons). I managed to remove it with stage now, but now when opening Soti Surf it shows white line where navigation bar was placed. Has anyone encountered this problem and have found a fix or workaround? Hi all, We are testing Honeywell CT60 scanners with proxy auto-config settings where we specified the PAC URL and set it as DHCP. When using Chrome in lockdown we can access the whitelisted URL's and it works as expected. But when using Soti Surf it gives us a white screen and after 10 seconds a time-out. Can Soti Surf work with the proxy auto-config? Are there extra configurations we need to push? The current server version is v14.2.1.4394
Hello all, we work with mobicontrol on version v13.3.3454 we used zebra tc75 under android 6 and 7 client mobicontrol is on version 13.3.2 build 1014 On many device we have soti surf who is installed All works fine but after an audit of security we need to implement some change :). this audit has find a open door with the lock down -> press coma while two second, a setting icon appear with this setting icon it's possible to go to other settings. If you click on setting google keyboard / about / and click rules As you can see on my picture the device proposal two browser : chrome or soti surf For to avoid the press coma on the google keyboard we have installed the zebra keyboard. I've try to reproduce this back door but actually not possible. Also if i black list google chrome and reboot the device ..the device doesn't reboot !!!!! My question is -> is it possible to make soti surf as a default browser FOR ALL LINKS ? the goal is -> if the security team arrived to find another way for by pass lock down with the new zebra keyboard installed. i want every time that is soti surf who opens for url thanks for your time
Hello all, we used mobicontrol on version v13.3.3454 we have a lot of zebra tc75 on android 6 and 7 the client is 13.3.2 build 1014 we used also soti surf on version ->v14.2 with Soti surf we have one link who opens https web site All works fine, just one thing one of my colleague has remak when we do a remote connection on a device and click on soti surf all html page is blank ... Is it normal or something has forget... I'm sure all works because before install on mass soti surf i have checked all links thanks for sharing your knowledge
Hi, We're have this issue occurring on a Honeywell CT60, its running in lockdown mode with Soti Surf 14.4 as the only accessible application. Whenever its placed into a dock or removed from it Soti Surf reloads and then the soft keyboard starts appearing over top of text inputs. The only way to get it to function normally where the text input moves up when the soft keyboard opens is to close then reopen Soti Surf. I've updated Soti Surf and the devices firmware but this issue still occurs, and I cant see any settings for Soti Surf or the device that would cause this. I'm not to sure if this is an Android thing or a Soti Surf issue, as this problem does not occur when using Chromium. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Matt
Hello Can anyone help me with my Problem? I use lockdown page to start soti surf. When i go back to lockdown Screen and open Soti Surf again, Soti surf everytime open a new tab with startpage. Is there a Chance to open only 1 TAB in Soti Surf?
Hello all, we work with zebra tc75x Our server mobicontrol is on version 13.3.3454 The agent on your device is on version 13.3.2 build 1014 the device is enrolled on android + I must to install the soti surf (14.2.0.119) on more 200 or 300 devices during the night .. but I've notice that after the soti surf is installed , the app need some permission -> 4 app permissions is ASK after the installation How I can make for to accept PERMISSION automatically ? Is there a way ? I can't imagine press 4 time on each device ...it take me 1 day perhaps .. thanks for your time
