Does SOTI Local installation and provision package setup need a domain purchase? We do have devices all over Canada. The provisioning package created a few times with Windows and Windows Server 2016, which didn't work. Every day the SOTI employee saying different things, he installed SOTI MobiControl on Windows 10 and tried to create a Provision package, he failed and said Windows Server 2016 needed. I installed Windows Server 2016 and he tried again to create a provisioning package without any success. Now, I am confused about the ability of some tech support people in SOTI. What I need to make SOTI run from local installation, I need a very specific answer. We do have around 350 devices all over Canada.
I'm on the latest version of MobiControl. When I remote into my tablets -- despite establishing a connection -- the browser only displays a black screen. This is only happening on tablets with an operating system of Android version 10. Interestingly if the tablet is connected to a Wifi network, I don't experience the problem. However, as soon as the device is switched to an LTE data connection, the "black screen" issue comes up again. I do not have any profiles disabling any kind of screen capture. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good Morning, Is there a script that will allow me to change the Personalized name back to whatever I choose it to be? Some of the employees are getting creative but yet still barely outside of the gray area of right/wrong. Example - Personalized Name of a Standard Samsung S8 is Samsung S8 yet the employee could change it to say The Batphone or something ( That is a mild one )
Dear All I'm one of customer for your product. regarding SOTI Mobicontrol. About a month ago, I raised ticket for Android10 enrollment. SOTI support team said, first of all I have to Mobicontrol upgrade from 13.x to 15.x. And then I have to replace from SHA1 to SHA2 SSL due to Android security policy. For today, I am having a Android 10 device enroll setup for example, Rules, Profiles.. Problem is that support team is not respond appropriately. Therefore, I have to waiting for your call only.. During support history, I got error. i.e. console restart, Rules cannot retrieve.. Do you have any service level service of work? End of this month, I will replace to Android 10 device up to 300 devices. If I get wrong support, I will decide to SOTI device EXIT plan soon. For your understand, I attached Incident numbers. Hi there We are upgrading our old mobicontrol 12.0 server. According to the upgrade path page, I need to upgrade to 12.4 first.Where do I get the installer for 12.4? I can only download the newest versionThanks
Does such a script exist? When this specific app is installed it requests device admin permission in order to be able to lock the screen. If I want to uninstall this app or clear its data then at the moment I have to go to Settings/Security/Device admin apps and untick this app. What I would like if possible is a solution script/intent or other way of removing the admin permissions from this app in order to uninstall or clear data as I would with any other app that wasnt a device admin. Hello, actually i'm testing the version of mobicontrol v14.4.9 All works fine, but i have a question about the move device operation on android + device. before when i move device to one folder to other, i receive a popup with a confirmation message (mobicontrol version v 13.3.39) Now, when i do the same i have a check box who says " maintain ovveridden advanced configuration specified to selected device " I would like to know what does it means ? because i can't see the difference between if I check the checkbox or not ? I've join a print scrren with the two popup first it"'s new version thanks for you time

Hi, i'm installing TC51 in our new Soti now and saw this "problem": In Soti are following Agents: But the installed Version during enrollment is 14.3.2.1050. I can Update via Playstore to 14.4.0.1028 manually but why doesn't it install the newest Version by default and why do i have to update it manually?
Hi MobiControl 14.4.9 Agent: 14.x.x I'm getting cases where devices with corporate Google mail using the Google Apps Device Policy (with a small list of available apps) is overriding MobiControl's appllcation catalog. this means that some users cannot install applications that they should be allowed access to. Any suggestions on a fix short of rebuilding the device?
I know I need to install the certs on the current devices and then push a script I believe, but I cant find documentation?? I only have till tomorrow to get this done.
Hello, the SotiServer is running on a WinServer 2012R2 we are planning to upgrade to WinServ2016. We do have a sql server 2016 but only Version 13.0.1742.0 no Service Pack 2 installed right know. We also have an on premise SotiServer Version: 14.2.1.4394 we plan a upgrade to Version 15.1.3. 15.1.X Recommended specs: Component Recommended Level for 15.1 Software Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (Service Pack 2 Cumulative Update 1) Microsoft SQL Server 2017 So we could upgrade our SQL Server to SP2. But would the 15.1.3 SotiServer Version also run with SQL Version 13.0.1742? What is best practice here? Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to run a scrip to restrict cellular data usage for specific apps? It is possible to manually set "Allow background data usage" in android app manager but I cannot find any similar option in mobicontrol. Thanks.
