I have devices that live behind very restricted firewalls - no traffic other than what is explicitly allowed. What is the FULL set of IPs that need to be whitelisted for Mobicontrol to work. I have looked at this page: https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v14.0/en/setup/installing/soti_services.html but when looking at the firewall traffic I don't see any of those addresses at all in my logs. I see some traffic from 34.216.251.194 that appears to belong to SOTI, but I need a full and accurate list. Thanks
Hello, For testing purposes I have to install a v13.3.0.3851, do some tests on it and then upgrade the MC version to the v14.4.9.1034. Problem : I have the following error message from the MC Admin tool when I want to make / save changes : Also, I am unable to manually launch the SOTI MobiControl Deployment Server service : Question : Does mobicontrol version v13.3.0.3851 can work on a Windows Server 2016 ? Or does it only work on the following OS : Windows 7 (Browser-based remote control not supported.)Windows 8Windows Server 2008 R2 (Browser-based remote control not supported.)Windows Server 2012Windows Server 2012 R2Windows 10 Many thanks.
Hello SOTI-community, we have several hundred Honeywell CT 60 devices which are running a self-developed app. I would like to use the lockdown mode (Android Plus) to only let the colleagues access this very app. Unfortunately, when we roll out updates, there are two settings-popups which the users will have to manually allow and set (battery optimization and system settings access), because they can't be set via script. Since that is the case, I have to have the Settings enabled in lockdown mode as well (or the device will deadlock itself, because its awaiting input (allowing of permissions) the user is not able to give). Is it possible to have the settings enabled, but the shortcut hidden (so the users can't access the settings, but deal with the popups)? Or is there an option to allow battery optimization and system settings access via script? (I have already opened a SOTI helpdesk ticket, but we couldn't manage to get it done) Any help would be much appreciated. BR Dahin
Hi, I want to move our only SotiMobicontrol server to another Windows server. Are all data, profiles and packages saved in the database?
We were hoping to use Custom Data for targeting our profiles to the devices. We are currently using Zebra TC57 and Casio IT-G400 devices. I have no issues reading the %sdcard%Settings.ini on a Zebra device, however the Casio doesn't seem to use this location. In the file manager I can see a sdcard folder, but it seems to reside under /internal storage/ . How would I go about finding a location for the settings file that will be available on both devices? Do you have a list of locations I can target using a macro, as I only know of %sdcard% at the moment?
Has anyone implemented Syslog forwarding from SOTI Mobicontrol to Sumologic?
Can device names be changed after they've been enrolled (provisioned) into soti mobicontrol)? I only have access thru the web console.

We have a requirement for BYOD devices to disable location services as users are not comfortable with IT department collecting this information. At the same time we would like to keep the location services for company owned devices like tablets, laptop's etc. Is it possible to have a separated policy for location service per device OU? Thanks,
Hi there, we've got a problem with a customer app and Android 10. Our Customer is using the IMEI of the device, to validate the usage of the app. With Android 9, the customer app had no problem requesting the IMEI directly from the device. Now with Android 10, there are some changes and the app don't got the needed permissions (link). The app needs the READ_PRIVILEGED_PHONE_STATE permission or have to be the device owner. As far as I know, I've got no possibility to set these permissions for this app through SOTI - or do I? Is there somebody who's familiar with this problem and got any workaround? Maybe requesting the IMEI from the MobiControl Agent? I'm not a developer so I could really need some help with this. MobiControl: v15.1 Agent: 14.2.0.1069 Device: Samsung Galaxy A40 EE (Android 10) Management Method: Android Enterprise, Fully Managed / Lockdown -> we are using Knox Configure and Knox Mobile Enrollment Thank you, Daniel
Hi, We have several groups set up and configured at the start of configuring Mobicontrol. Now, every time we add a new child group, it automatically inherits all the profiles and app rules from the parent and we would have to go through every single one of the profiles/app rules to uncheck it from applying to the new child group. Is there a setting to prevent a new child group from inheriting? Thank you so much!
Hello, I am configuring some samsung tab A tablets for use as kiosks. (The kiosks are running in Single App mode). Is it possible to Disable screen lock and timeout in lockdown mode and keep the tablets on at all time? I have been searching but there is no obvious solution/option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello SOTI Team, i have one question about compliance policys , you have the option to manually run them, i was wondering then when are they automaticly run by the system? At Device Check in? At 12 Midnight? I try to split automatic processes like sending reports evenly over the day to keep system load down. So i was curious. Also it would be nice if there was an option to copy a rule :)
