Hi all, We have had a few requests regarding the option on having a shared contact-book on multiple Android devices, with the entries being read-only on the device. Any experience or suggestions to test for this particular use-case? So i have this requirement from my Client. They have devices that used by the employee, and the company give cellular data allowance for the devices. IF the devices connected to cellular data (either 3G or 4G) the devices can only acces certain apps and can't browse the internet at all. IF the devices connected to WiFi, the devices can acces all apps available and browse the internet freely. I think we should use Data Event configuration to fulfill this requirement ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

My customer is having problems adjusting display brightness with Soti Settings Manager on their Samsung Xcover 3 and 4. I have created a profile for them with a lockdown enabling status bar expansion but disabling settings changes. Package Blocking and Samsung Package Disabling are off. The profile also has a Feature Control with a only a few settings set, none of which are relevant to display or settings. Finally the profile has a Settings Manager configuration allowing all settings changes. The only way I can enable changing display brightness is by allowing settings changes, but then I would have to disable status bar expansion to prevent tampering with network settings by the end user. This is not an option. But shouldn't Soti Settings Manager bypass this setting and be allowed to change display settings? My Mobicontrol server is 14.4.1.1195 Agent version on my test Xcover 4 is 13.8.0 1047 (ELM) Settings manager is 14.3.4 Build132
With Android Enterprise Device Owner enrollment you can end up in a situation where a number of system applications are disabled by default. There are enrollment Extras that you can include in a NFC chip or custom QR code to leave all system apps enabled but if they device has already been enrolled is appears that you have to use the enable_system_app script in order to re-enable the apps individually. Is there an alternative to individually re-enabling system apps such as using a wild card? eg: enable_system_app * enable_system_app com.zebra.*
On a TC52 enrolled as Android Enterprise in Device Owner mode how do I enable ADB debugging for development and troubleshooting? It is turned on within the UI. Settings > System > Developer Options > USB debugging. I have also tried using the MX USB Manager to turn on UsbModuleUsage" value="1" />UsbADBUsage" value="1" />UsbAllAccessDeviceStorageUsage" value="1" /> When I plug the the TC52 into my PC there is no acknowledgement and using the adb devices command shows no devices connected. On mobicontrol some of my devices are offline but as per the drivers they are online in the field.Is there any script that i can send to the devices to get them online
U cant differentiate agent upgrade settings for device classes anymore. So when changing the agent update settings for example "allow only when connected to lan" it gets changed for all device types (android, windows mobile 6.5 etc.). Can some1 crosscheck this with their environment? Kind Regards
I´m working with android enterprise in honeywell devices, such as eda71 and eda51, i enabled the kiosk mode and it is working fine in device owner mode, but i want to disable the status bar expansion because if not, the users can turn off the wifi or change other settings, but i need to see the status bar to check the signal and battery status, in android+ this function it´s shown in lockdown settings, but with enterprise configuration i only see status bar in activity supression. Hell all, we have mobicontrol in version 13.3.0.3454 We have a lot of device in zebra TC75X with android 6 and 7. the client mobicontrol is on version 13.3.2 build 1014 actually, we migrate all url we call in http to https. i can install the certificate on the device without problem all works fine. I would like to know if some people has experience with certificate. Is it better to add the certificate in a separate profile or it's better to add the certificate in the main profile (where authentifcation kiosk is added) ? Actually, for testing i have created a separate profile who contains just the certificate I have a main profile where i have (bookmark, kiosk, …) and so on. I can install all, remove all, all seems to work but i would like to have some advice or suggestion. thanks for sharing your knowledge
Hello all, we work with mobicontrol on version v13.3.0.3454 I have a lot of device -> Zebra TC75 (android 6 and 7) with the client version v13.3.2 build 1014 it's android + enrollement For some reason, i need to install the keyboard zebra. For this, i have done a rules who execute a mxconfig file -> that's work fine i just schedule the job. I would like to execute this rule when a device is add to a folder. How i can do this ? thanks
Hello, We have Lenovo devices so the user may not display any notifications. Apps are blocked, but still notifications are popping up. writesecuresetting -sec lock_screen_allow_private_notifications 0 writesecuresetting -sec lock_screen_show_notifications 0 But I assume this command is only for Samsung. Is there also one for a Lenovo Tab 3 10? As well I tried to set a background/lock screen image in SOTI MobiControl 14.4.1 (via advanced option) but this doesn't work at all. Does somebody have any idea how to change this? Thank you for your comments
Hello, I am testing the kiosk mode for an android terminal +, everything seems to work well apart from one thing. I can not leave the kiosk mode from the terminal. Let me explain, when I'm on my kiosk I keep pressing the return key and type my password, the kiosk is unlocked but 3 or 4 seconds later the kiosk mode relaunches itself.
