TC77 import of wavelink telnet config files.

Hi,

I am deploying an ConfigurationURL.xml file to a Zebra tc77 device, to the exact same folder as on a tc75(which automatically imports), which for some reason does not get imported. It is not a protected partition on Android 8.1, its the sdcard\wavelink folder, and we are using the very same telnet agent version from wavelink.

I assume some kind of Android OS-change, but cant see why. They are enrolled as AEDO.

Any suggestions?

Is this Velocity that we're talking about? Can you confirm that the file is making it to device? Does the Telnet app have read/write permissions granted?

Sorry, forgot to mention. It is not the Velocity App, but the legacy Telnet app version 2.0.18.4977. Kinda important :-)

(I know they need to switch to Velocity, just wanted to check if we could re-use initially)

I'm going to assume that TE client is not supported on Android 8.1 based on the fact that is has not been updated since 2016.

Also, if you look at the TC8000 (TC75 family), there is a link to the emulator that you're using but the link has been removed for the TC8300 (TC77 family). I think it's safe to say this is a Wavelink issue and not a SOTI issue.

Yup. I contacted Wavelink as well, and when trying to reach the config .jason file on a http server, it cannot resolve in Chrome on Android 8.1. I will skip to the Velocity client :-)

Thanks!
