Hello. If there anyway to do data capture on Chrome History? We are using Chrome as our managed browser on our Samsung devices. When looking at the data collection rules I am not seeing anything specified for this task. Does anyone else do this?

Is there any way to open Chrome without the address bar via a Lockdown screen on Android Enterprise (OS 8.1.0) devices? Our self-service payroll portal will only allow the download of pdf timesheets in Chrome on our Android Enterprise devices (long story, already looked at in Surf by SOTI devs) but we still want to use SOTI Surf for the rest of our URLs. I know the below intent works fine with this url on our devices: intent://randompayrollwebsite.com#Intent;scheme=https;package=com.android.chrome;end The issue we have is that the address bar is shown and engineers have access to other websites using the tabs which we'd rather not have as we use web filters categories in SOTI Surf. I have tested the website using the standard browser (eg. adding https://randompayrollwebsite.com to the lockdown screen) and the SOTI Surf browser and neither of these will open the pdfs via the website. Other pdfs open fine in Surf and we have the Adobe Reader package in our Lockdown profiles. The only solution I can think of is adding a 'Web Filter' profile to block all other websites, but the issue with this solution is that the engineers would then be unable to open URLs in Gmail (as Gmail is now the default Exchange email provider in Android Enterprise and the 'Open Web links in Gmail' option is set by default in the Gmail app). Unless there is a way to unset the 'Open Web links in Gmail' as default via SOTI, but I couldn't see this as an option anywhere? If there is another intent that could help I would love to hear it. Hi Both on location settings for soti and google maps the device fails to find a location. Permissions appear to be set for both but unable to find location Running android V 9, Device agent 13.7.4.1015 Soti mobicontrol V14.4 Any help appreciated

The customer's demand Replace the old iOS devices (iPhone8, Apple Device Enrollment Program; DEP) at the end user to the new iOS devices (iPhone8, Apple Business Manager; ABM) The assuming steps by the customer Upgrade DEP to ABM at the end user. Backup old iOS devices by iTunes. Enroll new iOS devices in ABM. Restore the backup to the new iOS devices. Suspicious issues . Do the differences of serial numbers between old devices and the new devices affect the migration? . Does the backup by iTunes cover all required contents?
Hi! Is there some way of issuing an adb shell intent command to a device running MobiControl to issue a script on the device? Does MobiControl have an intent receiver? The reason for this is that we have devices with a crashing agent as soon as we exit the lockdown manually, the devices are offline and can't be put online again so we want to be able to send script notify kiosk off to the devices.
Hello, We would like to use a Windows 10 Tablet (Zebra ET55) in Kiosk Mode. One of the requirements is to be able to create a folder and then within the folder have a bunch of icons for programs we can launch. For instance, we might want a folder called Browsers. When the user clicks on the Folder, they then see “Microsoft Edge”, “Google Chrome” and “FireFox” as options. Is this possible with MobiControl Version 14.1.0.1152? Thanks. -- Val
Is there a way with the application catalog to have the apps automatically installed during the provision process vs. having to press the install button? This is for Zebra and Unitech devices, would make it a lot easier for remote provisioning.
Android 8.1.0 on a Samsung TAB A added lock screen applications. I've tried several variations of write secure setting but nothing seems to work. Hi, Do we know why we cannot assign Profiles to Virtual Group? I am using MOBI 13.4 you might ask, why do i need this? Our structure is to have folder per company branch, and each branch have 2 Enrollment Rules per Team (each team has his own devices), so we end up having for example, branch Seattle has Folder named Seattle, and under it we have devices for team1 and devices for team2. What we want is to push profiles based on DeviceName, ex: includes "team1"... and so force. I realized that when creating Virtual Group we could do that, but profiles cannot be assigned to Virtual Group! Also, i was thinking to add this filter in the profile Assignment, but the assignment doesn't give me the option to select by DeviceName. does one of these 2 features exist in newer versions of MOBI?
Hi, I enrolled 5 new Zebra MC33 devices 1 hour ago but the are not showing up in the MobiControl WebConsole. They are visible in the database using the view vw_Device_Information and the agent on the device also says that the devices are online. So why are they not visible? MobiControl Version: 14.3.1.1189
Running Soti v14.4.0.4857 I have a certificate authority configured with a template and all is working fine for initial enrollment on my iPads (iOS v12.3.1). The issue I am running into is that auto renewal is not working. I have the following options checked in the template: - Remove old certificates - Use auto renewal - Days before auto renewal: 2 For testing purposes I lowered the validity period of my certificate to three days. Beyond the certificate not auto renewing, it seems as though I cannot manually renew it from the Security tab of the device - the option to revoke and/or renew are not there. Note that the option to revoke and/or renew had been visible in the past as well as the information under the Template and Intended Purposes columns. Ideas?
I am looking for a way to completely configure all Android device settings upon enrollment. I have just begun to explore Enterprise enrollment but ave been looking during my last 4 years using Android Plus to save time when bringing new or reset devices into our cloud instance. Enterprise enrollment is a good start, with mandatory apps and what is afforded in the feature control profile, but I need to be able to set the following types of things for each tablet, and they all must be done manually at this point (for Samsung Tab S4): Connections/Wifi/Advanced: Disable "switch to mobile data" and "turn on wifi automatically" Sounds and Vibrations/Sound mode: set to mute Sounds and Vibrations/Sound mode: set vibration intensity to zero for notifications and feedback Display: Set screen mode to "Basic" Display: set timeout to 10 minutes Display: Navigation bar set to hide Lock screen: set to lock after 5 minutes, disable lock with power key There are about 25 settings in all that must be set, these are just some examples. I had been hoping for some way to "clone" a device's settings and apply it to other devices upon enrollment or via profile. I have tried using Android backup but that option is grayed out on my devices. Under Settings-->Google I see that "Backup" is toggled off, I can toggle it on but it always reverts back to "off". This is a managed device, enrolled using afw#mobicontrol at initialization, so maybe a device can't backup settings that would be shared by all other devices enrolled into that enterprise? I have looked at zero touch enrollment and it doesn't seem to offer the level of customization needed. In the past SOTI support has provided me with scripts to disable Dex mode and to prohibit the Max Power Save option, is there a way to reveal what the underlying commands and syntax would be for each item under Settings? Then I could script this myself. I would appreciate any advice or direction the group might have. I learn so much from lurking on this forum, and am grateful for any help. Kind regards, Matt
