Using Android Enterprise, we can't see the contacts in the WhatsApp. When you open the app, it asks for the perssions, but you can see the contacts enabled and can't change the option cause is disabled by the MDM. So you can recieve messages but you can't open a new chat with any of your contacts.
Hi all, We have some TC70X devices I need to lock and can't figure out how. With the other TC70 devices we have I just reset the passcode and that works. I have searched through the help files and the only references to the passcode and lock down are either Apple related or not helpful. I have looked at the profile, group, etc. There are options to disable the passcode, but not to enable it. What am I missing? Thanks
Hello, I have been working with the new WiFi only, Verizon and ATT Samsung Tab A models/devices. Both the WiFi Only and Verizon models received their firmware updates (2108-11-01 & 2018-10-01) and the remote control functionality works with SoTi afterwards. On the ATT T387AA, i preformed all the available updates and verified on ATT website that it has the most recent version (Android Security Patch Level 2018-12-01). The remote control function is still not working using Android Plus or Enterprise, Web based or Plugin. I found another post referencing the issue and was advised to perform the updates but it is still not working. Agent: 13.6.0.1476 Console: 14.2.2.1170 and 14.2.1.4394 Firmware: 8.1.0 Thank You Edgar Rodriguez
Hello ! I am somewhat new to Soti and am developing custom reporting for our uses and am trying to figure out what unit of measure is being used to indicate "Signal Strength" in the reporting functions of Soti. Signal strength on a mobile phone is usally measured in Dbm I believe but using the pre-build reports Signal Strength shows as a figure between 1-100 with no indication as to whether 1 is strong or 100 is strong as well as what this number actually represents. I have reached out to Soti support several times and they have not been able to provide me with an answer...... Does anyone know the answer to this or could possibly point me in the correct direction!? Thank you so much in advance!!
Hello Everyone, My customer has Zebra TC52 devices running Oreo, enrolled as AEDO. They push a datawedge.db file to their devices, and they seem to be having some permission issues. In the past, using an OEM signed agent, they were able to use the execute_shell chmod 777 script to grant read, write and execute permissions when they copied that file over to the device. With AE, that script is no longer supported. They have noticed two things: 1: If the file is pushed through adb, all the permissions are granted and the datawedge app consumes the db file. This is not a viable solution. 2: When they create a package to push that file, the datawedge app does not pick the file up, unless they reboot the device. They however would not want to reboot their devices. What is a good solution for them, is there anything else we can use to grant read, write and execute permissions to that file within AE?

in my company we have roughly 80 phones that have not connected within 28 days or more, however everything still works such as email and other various apps, any idea on how to get these phones connecting back with soti without wiping the phones and staring fresh thanks in advance
For a long time, I'm having problems with the tasks of synchronizing files with some tablets, instead of showing the files they synchronized, it shows the error "Script command is not supported by device (__License)" and it also happens that in some tablets too the profile application is pending, so it does not update the kiosk mode that I have configured. and also disables the remote access Did someone happen to this? I have version 14.2.0.2894 installed and the equipment is all Samsung SM-T585, this happens with different versions of android 7.0 and 8.1 and agent 13.5.1.1234 and 13.6.0.1257, I do not know what to do. The only solution is to uninstall the soti agent, install the remote knox to ask for the license from the klms agent and reinstall the soti, but it is difficult for me if I have to do it in person since the tablets are distributed by different provinces of Argentina Something that caught my attention, is that when all this happens to me, in the part of supported api, I disappear the knox and the samsung rc Thank you very much and I await commentsregards!
The status of the battery is dumped onto a text file in the device storage. The mobicontrol help states it can read the lines of a text file but only ini and xml is available for android. How can the txt file option be added onto the android enterprise devices?
Does anyone know how to locate the APNS certificate in the database? Or an alternate solution to removing the APNS expiry warning every time I log into MobiControl. Thanks
We upgraded MobiControl from v14.0 to v14.2 and after the update we are unable to enroll any Android devices. In addition we are unable to upgrade the agent for any currently enrolled devices, and only getting these error-messages: Invalid device software version (Upgrading the device agent on [::ffff:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]:60627) Agent upgrade attempt failed (Unable to find matching Android Plus Agent) The devices in question are Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 SM-T395 running Android 7.1.1 with the 13.3.3.1034 Agent currently installed. Is there a upgrade-step we have missed?

Hi, One of my customers is interested in getting more details into the certificates that SOTI mobicontrol uses. I took a look into the utility dashboard and there are all my certificates. When looking into those, I noticed that most of the certificate are sha-1 encrypted. I am on SOTI 13.4. Has Soti already upgraded these certificates to sha-256 in their latest versions?
