Hi, has anybody experience in changing the vpp account? Our company has a new DUNS and we have to create a new account for VPP because it isn't possible to change it. We will use the same account which is already in use with Apple DEP. At the moment we are using an additional account for VPP with our old DUNS. Questions: What happens on the devices if I change the vpp token? I would like to avoid that all VPP-apps will be removed from the devices. Best regards, Marcel
Is anyone else having issues with pushing VPP-licensed apps to iOS 12.1 devices? Any devices we have with older versions of iOS are working fine. This started yesterday afternoon and is affecting iPhones and iPads. Edit: We have noticed this on iOS devices that have 11.4+ installed.
We have a very strange issue happening with one of the enterprise apps we use. Whenever the trust profile is installed, this particular app gets an invalid certificate error. With the trust profile removed, it works fine. We unchecked the option to require the trust profile on the server and the devices that we enroll through the web browser work perfect...our iOS profile is signed by a third-party. However, most of our devices are enrolled through DEP and the trust profile is still installed on those devices. Is there not a way to prevent the trust profile from being installed on those devices as well?
Hi, On the SOTI-MobiControl platform, I want to prevent deleting the configuration of an IPAD group, as well as deleting the SOTI certificate. Thanks in advance, BR,
Hi, This is current situation: - 1 Deployment Server in SOTI - 1 Apple DEP Account - 3 MDM servers in the Apple DEP Account - 1400 Devices (from multiple customers) in the 1 (and only) Deployment server. - The Deployment server is connected to 1st made MDM server in the DEP Account What I want to accomplish, I don't want to open more than 1 Deployment Server, but I do want to connect multiple MDM virtual to that Deployment server and manage all my customer's devices. Is this possible? If not, when will it be made possible, since Airwatch is offering this already?
Hi, we can enroll iPhone 5,6 without any problems, but we can not enroll a iPhone 8. We do the same enroll process like the iPhone 5 and 6 devices. The iOS version (11.4.1) is the same with the old devices. The enroll process does work normaly without any problems on the device (app or website) The Device appears in the Console with a very long device name. The renaming of the device in the console does not work with iPhone 8. All other informations are not coming even after few hours. Nothing happens and the profile installation is still pending With the old iPhone Devices (5 and 6) it works normaly. Renaming works and all Informations are displayed in few moments in the Console. We configured TLS 1.2 (like in the iOS 12 Articel and all is compliant with the Apple test tool) We tried to enroll the iPhone 8 as a blank Device or as a BYOD version without a sucess. It is not a DEP Device! Does anyone have the same Problem? Thanks and best Regards Thomas
Hi, I've got an Ipod Touch IOS 11. I want to make it enroll right from the configuration of the IOS device using DEP. As for now:- Soti is linked to my Apple DEP- Device rule is madeIf I uncheck the box 'Require Enrollment during Setup Assistant' and skip this part. All the things go just as expected. So the Ipod is definitely reading the rule I made. But I want my Ipod to be supervised and enrolled during the setup. Yet, it keeps on giving me the notification that 'remote management cancelled' Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Some other EMM vendors claimed support for a maximum of 256 in their products. What are the limits for MobiControl v13.x and v14.x?
Simple request, is there a way to restrict access to apps via their bundle identifier? I could swear I used this before, but it may have been in a different MDM...
Hi all We have a selection of iPad Pro's at the moment, that have been added to our DEP server and synchronized across as required... Our rule has been applied and all looks ok in terms of the configuration. However when they connect to WIFI, and then proceed to the remote management screen - it shows that our company will configure the device, takes a minute connecting and eventually just times out. It cannot download the configuration and hence goes no further. These are WIFI only so I cannot rule out other connections - but I have tried our own WIFI network, external networks and hotspots using 4G sim cards... and we either get just 'cancelled' or 'timed out' Can anyone confirm a few things for me please? Do the iPads have to be on our own network in order to remotely configure when first loading up the devices? These are brand new out of the box. Where could I check to see if they are hitting the server at all, what logs are best to check? Any help appreciated - we are quite new to the apple devices in Soti. Many thanks Leigh
We have a project in which we need to allow the user to access one app to start but then open other apps from it. Using the Single App Mode under security & restrictions within MobiControl allows for the iOS device to be put in the correct mode but you cant open any other apps. We have tried using the Single App Mode Whitelist setting under Security & Restrictions > Restrictions > Applications > Single App Mode > List with no success. Do we need to modify anything in our app to allow it to open other apps from the whitelist when in Single App Mode? For example our use case is we have developed a customer iOS app made for hotels that will run in Single App Mode. From our app we want to launch Spotify, Netflix and other apps without exposing the iOS dashboard. As a note when we disable Single App Mode profile we can launch other apps from our application. The blocker is trying to launch other apps while in Single App Mode.
With DEP enabled for iOS devices (iPhones mainly), how can we enable the iOS feature of Do Not Disturb While Driving automatically? Furthermore, make it enabled and unable to change the setting? We have a fleet of drivers and want to turn this on to further cement in our driving policy of no calls while the vehicle is moving.
Is there an option to bring iOS devices into the MDM without Apple DEP registration (BYOD)?
iOS 11 has introduced changes that are not compatible with older versions of MobiControl.
