I created a rule to alert by email that the sim card has been changed, removed or inserted. I see the messages in the Alert Tab but I don't receive any email.
The lockdown was installed on my Coppernic C-five I put the administrator password on my device, it goes to the Mobicontrol menu '' Device configuration ''. Status of Agent Mode is Administrator but when you click on home menu, the device go back to the lockdown. So I decided to revoke it from my device, lockdown is uninstalled in the logs but I have a blank screen. It seems the lockdown is partially removed but I don't know why. The only way to unlock the device is to unenroll and reenroll the device on the server.
I would like to add the SMS/MMS android application installed by default on the whitelist Control exec App ( Coppernic C-five device ) but impossible because Soti refuses the special character. Is there a way to do that ? Thank you
We upgraded the server version from V13.3 to V13.4 then upgraded all the devices via Mobicontrol with the new Mobicontrol agent. After 2 months, some PDA wer offline and the agent was not upgraded. Is there a delay for the upgrade ?
Hi, I am curious if there is a way to create custom macros in addition to what's already available, such as %MAC% or %DEVICENAME%. I see in v13 scripting documentation a mention about setting variables but there is not much context provided behind where to use this syntax or what platforms are supported. My goal is to create a custom macro that is pulling custom data being collected from an ini file on the device and then to utilize that macro in my Lockdown code. I may be able to accomplish with the REST api's but haven't gone down that path quite yet.
Is there a way to play an audio file (mp3) on an Android+ device (also setting the volume)? I found the 'sendintent' script command for playing a video file, could this also be used for audio?
Even though I disable removal of mobicontrol agent and prevent unenrollment from group configuration, I can still uninstall the mobicontrol agent via drag and drop (uninstall). Dear Team , we are using Samsung elm agent for our devices with android 7.1 . but if device is in admin mode . agent is getting disconnected . we have to connect in manually or reboot the device to make it online . please suggest
I have noticed on multiple devices that the configurations tab on some phones is incorrect. It states that apps are installed on a specific version (that we recently pushed out) but then in the application list it states the old version is still installed. I have verified that the applications list is always correct while the configurations tab is the only one with issues. When this happens no matter if a new version is pushed that old version will always stay installed and the new one will always list as installed. This happens with multiple apps on multiple version on multiple different client versions. This does not occur on all our phones only a small sub-set which is less than 40% of the total I have tried updating the client app on the phones to the latest version with no luck. I have tried performing a check in with no luck as well. The only way to get it to update the apps is to manually install the apks on each phone which is very time consuming. I am hoping there is a simple fix to this that I can push out to keep me from having to manually update a dozen apps on over 100 phones. EDIT: It is a 14.x instance. The apps do not update at all but report as updated. Phone with app X at version 500 profile applied to that phone with app X at version 600 App X reports as version 600 in the configuration tab while on the phone and in the application tab it reports as version 500. any new profiles with an update to that app will instantly report as "installed" without installing on the phone this is leaving many phones that connect regularly with apps that are several versions behind. I attempted to do a manual sync like you listed below with no change (our integrity is below 100% but I do not know if that is related to this issue) Refreshing the device and manual check-ins do not change this I will reach out to soti and see if there is an update I can install as you suggested below.
Hi, I'm currently investigating how I can automate as much of our tablet setup process as possible. One thing we do is reduce the camera resolution for saved images, so images that my company's field team upload to our systems, don't fill the servers with unnecessarily high quality images! I've looked at the following posts and attempted the watchsettings on function but I'm not seeing logs for the settings in the camera app on Android 7 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2). https://discussions.soti.net/thread/what-is-the-script-command-to-pull-a-uri/ https://discussions.soti.net/thread/set-the-device-settings-using-a-script-or-configuration-file/ I understand there's more flexibility with Android Enterprise but Samsung isn't one of the certified manufacturers so we are having to stick with Android Plus. Is there another way I can find out what is being changed when the setting is modified in an attempt to script it? Thanks in advance!
I have a Samsung device that was setup as a work managed device. I have read that "encryption is enabled by default" on work managed devices but have seen the opposite on my devices. When I check the device statuses the encryption status is always "no" unless I manually enable secure boot on that device. I have searched high and low for an option to enable this but can not locate one. On standard android+ device profiles when the encryption option is enabled it turns on secure start up which requires entering the pin before the phone boots. Is there a way to force enable secure startup via MobiControl or am I stuck manually setting it.

Hi I have Samsung Android devices running Android 5.1.1 with the Android+ agent installed. They were on MC 13.3.3 and have been migrated to MC 14.1.0 then 14.1.4. We are on MobiControlCloud so have no access to the DB etc. The agent on the device is 13.5.0.1327 which is showing as compliant and compatible. I am moving the device from a group with a Lockdown profile into one without. When the device has moved into the non-lockdown group I get a white screen with "Lockdown screen is not configured" in the top right corner. This has been done without incident numerous times in the past under 13.3.3 and 14.1.0. I cannot be sure if it has ever worked on 14.1.4 I have even tried moving the device into a group without any polices at all - same result same message. Putting it back into the group with the lockdown policy restores the regular lockdown screen. Any devices that were in the non-lockdown group are working as expected. Has anyone come across this before and do they have a solution? Or am I looking at full device reset? Cheers Ed

Is there a way in SOTI Surf to show a downloaded file (PDF) right after downloading it, without the use of menu-bar? Under SOTI surf privacy options I can see the option to disable downloading or sharing files, but not immediately opening them after download. Otherwise I'll send a feature request.
