Hi, I have Zebra TC52AX devices with Android 11 enrolled into MobiControl. I understand that Mobi hides the StageNow app. I've tried sending the script of "enable_system_app com.zebra.devicemanager" via Legacy and it successfully sends to the device but no StageNow icon is anywhere to be found. Would I perhaps need to add it to the Apps policy too, as well as running the above command via script.
Hi, Not sure whether it is possible, but I would like to disable above functionality on our devices, because our telephone provider is not able to supply us anymore with pre-programmed sim cards and we need to change one of the numbers. Is there any way to disable 'Disable FDN' feature using any script? I am aware it can be done manually, but having 600+ devices across UK constantly used by our drivers it is difficult. I will appreciate any ideas We are using Moto G6, Moto G8, Sam A02 and Sam A12 (Android 8,9,10,11,12) within our estate enrolled as Android Enterprise. Our Mobi Control version is 15.4 Regards. We cannot use Soti HUB as we are not implementing WebDAV, Sharepoint or similar; this is just a local downloads browser-type instance.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab A8Mobicontrol Agent Version: 15.3.0.1006OS: Android 11 Hi, Some users of our tablets in lockdown mode are granted access to admin mode and can download items that they wouldn't be able to in lockdown mode (namely PDF files). In admin mode, tapping these in the browser automatically downloads them to the download folder. Is there a script or console function whereby we can enforce a daily/weekly/monthly purge of the downloads folder and delete anything in there? In Mobicontrol at least, I can't see anything obvious. Hi. android tc52x mobicontrol 15.6 I use mc pkg studio to push new apk updates for our app.I use js for my prei (and other) scripts. A practical example would best describe my question. App (apk) current version on scanner: v2.0 New app (apk) version to be pushed: v3.0 Sometimes it will uninstall v2.0 then install v3.0 Other times it will update v2.0 to v3.0. Updates seem to really crash it so then I have to manually uninstall then Force Package Reinstallation from Soti. 1. What determines whether it does an uninstall or update?2. What js command can I use to force our application to uninstall first (in the prei cmd script)? thanks!
Hi, I wonder if anyone is experiencing the same issue as me. We as a business manage multiple MobiControl instances for our customers ( AWS, AZURE ) We have one particular Azure server that cannot be accessed at least once a week and an error is displayed on the login page. This is slowing devices down as they are trying to reach DS which is down. We have changed the intervals on Retry Connection to 5 minutes but no improvement. SOTI Support has been contacted but the ticket is open for 2 months and this is still happening. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
MC 15.5 Hi, we currently have a test installation for Xtreme Hub running since several weeks.It seems the hub is only synchronizing those files which are used on the currently connected scanners. If you connect a scanner with a new app to be used or a new file sync rule, then the hub tries to sync that at that time. Out of a sudden this is not working anymore. I have already checked the access rights, the firewalls, the logs - but nothing wired so far - any idea? Maybe I have missed something to set !? Regards,Frank
Goodafternoon, We are able to get the with a work profile but not work managed. Barcodes have been generated with SOTI stage but as soon as we scan the first barcode we receive the following error in both devices. Point mobile PM85 details: android 9, 85.27 (Jun 13 2022). Motorola Defy details: android 10, QZD30.60, Agent Version 15.1.4.1058
can we apply password policy for devices that is login with Azure AD or local domain AD users? need to manage such as password complexity, length, expiration date.
Hello all, first i wish to all people a happy new year ,,A year without no problem with device :) well, we work with mobicontrol server on version 15.5.1.1010. Device is zebra TC75X under android 8 -> enroll entreprise (first device , we discover entreprise just now). Agent is on version 15.3.0.1006 I have a profile with a lockdown and when a apply to the zebra, device information is empty -> no sign of battery / date / network and so on .. If i do the same on my Zebra Android 7 with android + more or less same profile , device information is well present ... Any idea would be appreciate ? How to resolve this ? thanks
Hi, In the SOTI MobiControl the Zebra LifeGuard OTA says that it's registered but when we try to sync we get an error. Now I'm trying to see what the issue could be and for that I was looking to reset the registration but I have no clue where to change or see the Zebra LifeGuard OTA Account that was used previously. Error message in the logs: Failed to sync Zebra LifeGuard OTA enrollment status So it doesn't tell me more than this...

I hope someone can help me: Can a PIN or password configuration be applied by policy when a device is enrolled from the beginning and if it is not configured by the user, the device cannot be used? I mean that it is completely blocked until said configuration policy is fulfilled. I remain of your comments. Greetings.
Hello SOTI Community, Here is what I'm trying to enable across all my TC57X Zebra android 10 handheld devices. I need to enable to this setting in mobicontrol . However I don't know to add this setting. Would this be enabled under work profiles? ETC? - I would like to assign this setting to all of our devices once added into mobicontrol for maybe 1 or 2 devices for testing. - Maybe I'll have remote into all the devices individually to enable this setting but that would be time consuming. Hope maybe the community has some suggestions. Settings>about phone > build number tap 6-7 times to enable developer mode> go back to settings home page > press system> press advanced> press Developer options> go to apps sections > Enable “Don’t keep Activities “~ Destroy every activity as soon as the user leaves it. Good afternoon, I need to apply a new certificate authority with its new template to my devices. I already did it and it is working: The old template is "Bata OnRetail Prod CA", the new one is "Bata onRetail". The new template will generate a new certificate which will replace the old one. The problem is that the application which will have to use the new certificate needs to be restarted in order to for the user to be able to select it. Is there any way to authomatize the application restart as soon as the new certificate has been applied?It would be ok to just kill and restart the app or to restart the whole device, both ways are ok. I know there are some scripts which do this, but I don't know how to tell MobiControl to execute them only after the new certificate is applied. The instance version is: 15.4.1.4828 All devices are Honeywell EDA51 devices, Managed Work devices, with agent version 15.3.0.1006. Can you help me? Thank you, best regards.
Hi all, I have one datalogic memor 10 in production and few days ago we didn't saw remote control icon on this device, this device have latest agent installed with Android 9 we try to install RC plugin from dashboard and manually with package but nothing appears. Its curious only 1 datalogic I have 38 working when we try to find "remote control" says this: anyone have the same issue? Thanks and best regards!
