Hello, we manage all of our Smartphone android devices with MobiControl. This is our current setting "Allow User to Configure". The problem is we are technically able to track the exact location of the smartphone and we are not allowed to be able to track them... Can we turn the tracking off somehow that they can only use GPS for navigation like google maps? They also should still be able to turn off and on the location on smartphone and not completely block it through mobicontrol, because if I use "GPS only" they can not turn it off on the smartphone.
Hi there, we are using a Datacollection Rule for GPS Tracking in one environment. Unfortunatly it appears that the routers are displayed totaly wrong. As you can see in the picture, the device supposedly drove the blue path. However, this has not been the case.Is there an explanation for the faulty display? Kind regards, Daniel
Hello,To understand my question a little better, let me first explain the problem, that led to it. We are using a third-party application, which main features are to keep track of routes and deliveries. For example, where & when is it delivered/collected, or tracing of a driver with the possibility of live updates. A requirement for most of these features, would of course be a (nearly) constant GPS signal. Here lies the problem. On our third-party application, the GPS signal is turned off every time we activate lockscreen (screen goes dark, while the device is still operating in the background). Meaning that our application is neither transmitting nor collecting any data. But this can be avoided as long as the screen stays on active. - Which leads to my question. Is it possible to force the screen on our devices, to stay activated at all times, not allowing our drivers to physically turn the screen off by pressing the power button?Meaning that as long as there is charge on the battery, the screen will stay activated, unless we as an administrator tell it otherwise. As a bit of wishful thinking, we would like to take it even further, so that the screen could switch between maximum brightness and minimum brightness, with the press of a button. I do understand this might would be asking too much, so a feature like that, is defiantly only a second priority. Hope someone can support us with our "little" problem.Kind regards Joachim
I am trying to get location services set up on my TC70x devices. They are running Android 8.1.0 with Android Enterprise. I have set Location Accuracy to Battery Saver in Feature Control. After I deployed this to my test devices I got this pop-up: On one device I clicked "Agree" and the location tab SOTI was able to immediately locate the device. On another device I did not click anything, and later clicked Disagree and for both SOTI was unable to locate the device. Is there a way for me to turn on this setting remotely with a script or something? I cannot rely on users to click Agree on all the devices. Thank you!
Due to the data protection laws, I need that from the SOTI console not see the location of the devices. Is there any way at the network level, to prevent the console from failing when locating devices?

I have high precision mode for GPS enabled on my devices. But these do not respond to localization requests or google maps. What is the script to activate the GPS?
Hello. I have an old MobiControl serves (v11), as bing has deprecated the maps version used in this release, i can´t access to a device last known location. I would like to know if somebody has a sql query which can get me this info, at least its coordinates. Thank you.
There is a feature in MobiCOntrol to enforce GPS status. However on the device if the status of GPS is equal to "GPS only" and if remotely we want to change it to high accuracy, how is it done?
