Hi All, I have roughly 300 Zebra TC56 devices in the field that are using a particular APN for cellular connection. We need to move these devices to a new sim card which will use a different APN. The issue is when I put this sim card into a device the device will not select the new APN so the device has no data connection. The only way I can fix this is to manually change the default APN. These devices are spread all around the country so as you can imagine this is a big problem for us. We created a profile that pushes down the APN that is required however we are unable to activate this as the device would then go offline. These devices are fully locked down however I have tried testing with a device not enrolled and found the same issue. Run down on my testing; 1) I have taken a device out that is not enrolled in SOTI and put the old comms plan sim card in and that connected instantly to Telstra.wap as expected. 2) I switch off the device and place the new sim in (Telstra.internet) and boot the device. No connection. I check to see the device is still pointed to the Telstra.wap APN. 3) I then manually select Telstra.internet and that resolves the data connection problem but still needed a manual interaction to force it to the correct APN. Hi, A customer requires lockscreen authentication on Zebra TC56 by scanning a RFID-card. The Zebras are running Android 8.1 with StageNow and Soti Mobicontrol. How can I best solve this? I found the NfcMgr in Stagenow that allows me to enable "NFC on Lock Screen", but on the device itself after scanning the Stagenow barcode I get the following staging error: "NFC Enterprise Settings not supported". I'm using MX 9.0. Any ideas?
I already installed the latest RC Hawkeye plugin but still the RC control is not available. I tried multiple times to send some legacy script based from other discussion like below but with no avail. _resetfailedrcdetectionflagSleep 2restartagent and __switch ENTERPRISE_41 VIRTUAL_DISPLAY_resetfailedrcdetectionflag The device is currently running the latest update from Zebra, 02-32-04.00-OG-U07-STD I also tried installing the legacy RC plugin but the installation fail. The same also happen to one MC93 device we have running 8.1.0 with 01-23-18.00-OG-U00-STD. But the MC33 we have work perfectly fine with the RC plugin, this run 8.1.0 with 02-32-04.00-OG-U07-STD Agent Version is 14.4.0.1028 for all 3 devices.
Hi All, Is there a way to stop a user using the recent button so they cannot get out of the application and the same for when the user tries to split the screen?
Hi Is there any way of getting the output from Mxconfig XML command into a file or into the logs of MobiControl?
Hi! When we use the script "resetpassword xxxx" on our TC56 devices running on Android 7+ we also get the setting for PIN on device boot enabled. When setting this manually we get the question if we want to use the PIN even for device boot. Is it possible for MobiControl to not set the PIN for device boot as well?
Hi everyone I've noticed the settings icon disappears from the app menu on a few, not all, Zebra TC56 devices running M/N GMS, anytime after enrolling it into MobiControl. It is not possible to access settings from the pulldown menu either. Has anyone else seen this issue? Devices: Zebra TC56 OS: Marshmallow and Nougat with GMS MobiControl: 13.4 Agent: 13.5.0.1496
Hi! Tried to use Remote Control for a TC56 device enrolled to a server running 14.1 and as Android Enterprise Manged Device. I know that we need a MDM plugin for Remote Control to work on Android Enterprise but none of the two versions did work for the TC56. Neither Legacy or Hawkeye. (not compatible) I have recently got this to work OK with the TC20 device. Is there some update planned?
