Issues with device in KIOSK Mode using Phone app

We have a number of Samsung Phones (A20e) that we are running in KIOSK mode, I am wanting to let the device use the phone app and have added an entry in the policy that I believe should allow the phone app to run: launch://com.samsung.android.dialer The phone app is there and you can enter a phone numbewr, but it will not allow it to dial and connect, this works on our other devices running as AndroidPlus devices Is there another setting that needs entering somewhere?

Android Apps Not Installing Automatically From Managed GooglePlay with Mandatory Installation Rules in place

Hello all; I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.  I've got a set of Samsung Android Tablets, running the latest Android version, that just won't automatically install the apps designated as Mandatory installs through the Application Catalogue rules. To add to the oddities, on Monday i had another batch of the exact same model and version, but those applications did install without a problem. When i take a look through the logs on the MobiControl console, it reads "Device is missing mandatory application", but that's all the information given by the log.  What am i missing? What could have changed from Monday to today that is causing these tablets to not automatically install the mandatory applications? Thank you for any assistance.

Samsung Contacts - Sync Option Missing

We have a number of Samsung A40 devcies all enrolled on soti as android enterprise - Work managed devcies  all using outlook mail client for email. Hoever we are unable to sync phone mumbers from the users emal accounts. On a non enrolled device the user has a sync contacts option from within the contacts applicationa and this will pull over the required numbers. But on the soti enrolled devcies this option is missing? and I cant seem to find the option for allowing/disabling the functionality.

Unable to uninstall Application from TC72 (homegrown in this case) while logged in as MobiControl Administrator

Hello Community, I am unable to uninstall our homegrown applications locally from the TC72 even after the required feature control options have been set and executed. Feature Control options I have enabled: Disable Managed App Uninstallation Disable Installation from Unknown Sources Disable App Management YES I have already configured Authentication password and am logging in as Administrator locally on TC72.   Still cannot uninstall application, receiving the below: NO I am not able to click "Deactivate this device admin app" locally as it is grayed out/not available. Note that I have recently started working with the TC72 in an Android+ environment (50+ TC70 devices).  The agent is Work-Managed Mode. Mobicontrol Version 13.3.0.3851  The TC72 is by default Android Enterprise therefore YES I have already installed the Agent Plug-In via Android for Work Profile in order to achieve compatibility... Another avenue here- I do know that I have the ability to simply remove the application via the MobiControl console but I find it hard to believe this is the only method.  I DO NOT want to create unnecessary user accounts just to allow Developers the ability to freely, manually install and remove applications when testing.  We need to achieve this locally at the device under the Admin account. Everything else works as Admin, including Developer Mode except for uninstalling. UN-ENROLLING the device temporarily will not work.  It's a Catch 22 - the device must be enrolled in order to even utilize the Admin login (Feature Control Profile).  Factory Resetting the device is not an option in this scenario as that defeats the purpose of troubleshooting and testing. Any further insight/suggestions on getting this to work?  Maybe I am missing something simple.  Again the issue here is simply achieving the ability to uninstall the application locally while logged in as Mobicontrol Admin. Thank you for your time

Android 8 Work Managed Device and Enterprise partition

Hi guys, We will use Zebra devices with Android 8 Enterprise in "Work Managed Device" mode in the near future. Some test devices are already successfully staged into our Soti MobiControl environment. PlugIn for Remote Control is also pushed on the new devices with a profile so remote control is working fine. I have a short question now. While remote controlling Android 7 devices I had access to the /enterprise parition of the devices (and much more, see second screenshot down below). Now with Android 8 and Work Managed device, I'm only able to see /sdcard in the remote control (see first screenshot) Also tested this on a Panasonic device (Work Managed device too), same here. Only /sdcard is visible. Tried it with web based remote control and legacy. Is there a way to get access to the /enterprise folder of the devices again or is this a Android 8 Work Managed Device feature? On Android 7 devices it looks like this: Do you have any suggestions, would much appreciate it. Thank you and have a nice weekend. Stefan

Install Netmotion via SOTI on Zebra TC77X (Android 8.1, work managed device)

Hello, we want to install netmotion with device administrator privileges, after the devices are connected to SOTI. But SOTI prevents the app from being used as device administrator. We can't install the app before they are connected to SOTI, (with Zebra StageNow) because then we get a work profile, bur we need a work managed device. Is it possible to install netmotion (used as device administrator) via SOTI with a work managed device? Thanks and best regards Daniel

Managed apps not downloading with Android Enterprise

We've been having trouble in recent weeks with enrolling new devices into Android Enterprise as a work managed device. From a factory restore state, using afw#mobicontrol, the device will enroll as AE Work Profile. We never used to have this issue, afw#mobicontrol would enroll the device as AE work managed device.  The closest we've been able to get is using the Stage Programmer app and a QR code to enroll the device in MobiControl. Using this method, it will enroll as AE work managed device. However, while our profiles and packages will apply, the app catalog rules will not. We have several apps that are set as mandatory that will not automatically download. I've tried downloading manually through the MobiControl App Catalog but when I tap to install it takes me to the Play store and says that my administrator has not given you access to this item. We've done a lot of testing with our device vendor. We've tried different versions of the web console and different android OS versions. All our devices are 7.1.2 and we attempted enrolling an android 6 device with afw#mobicontrol and got the same results. Throughout our testing, the only thing we have not been able to change is the MobiControl agent version (13.6.0.1567) since that is controlled by MobiControl's deployment server. Our last deployment of devices all used agent 13.5 with no problem. This time around, with agent 13.6, we are having problems. Has anyone else experienced problems like this? Being unable to use afw#mobicontrol to enroll into AE work managed device. Or, having issue with mandatory apps not downloading to a device once we do get it enrolled as a work managed device using the stage programmer app?
