Huawei STK-LX1 not receiving profiles)

Hi

My Huawei phone STK-LX1 has been enrolled succesfully in our SOTI but it does not receive ANY profile that has been linked to the group.

The profile are all based on "Android Plus"

My phone was factory reset and enrolled via afw#mobicontrol. It has agent 12.2.0 build 1025 on it and is a 'work managed device'.

Phone is up to date. It does show up properly in SOTI.

Do I need to re-create these profiles on a specific way for Huawei's?

Hello Torfs,

Thank you for posting on our SOTI Central.
When you said "all based on "Android Plus" ", you meant Android classic, not enterprise, correct ?
If that's the case, you need to create new profiles for enterprise because your device is enrolled as enterprise.
Please let me know if this solves your problem.

Hi

On the profile pages they are all marked as "Android Plus".

Yet, when I check the galaxy tab A's that are also in this group it also says "Device Kind: Android Enterprise".

So, all devices in this group are Android Enterprise so far. Works on all galaxy tab A's, but not on the Huawei so far.

Hi

Is there anything else I could try?

So far, I was not able to make it work yet.

Best regards

Brian

Hi TORFS,

Is Huawei plugin is properly installed ?

If the profile installation failed, there will be error message in logs.

Can you check the error message from logs tab ? What does it say ?

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I was in contact with SOTI support but we didn't get much further yet sadly.

They did mention why it isn't receiving profiles.

The device itself is showing "Management Type: Unknown". They've suggested to re-enroll the device but i've tried it a couple of times, nothing seems to be helping.

What does the Huawei plugin do? And how am I supposed to get it installed on my device if the main problem is; it's not able to receive any packages/profiles right now.

Is the plugin crucial for Huawei devices?

When I check the log files;

Hi TORFS,

I looked into this device. It seems this model is neither SOTI certified nor Google recommended device. Normally it does not work if it's not listed in the portal below.

You might need to contact Huawei to make sure this model is recommended device or not for Enterprise.
