All App are killed in background, no apps at all in recent apps

Hi,

We have received new batch of devices (Honeywell CT45XP), which should be installed for our field service management system in order to replace some old devices.

Installation is very smooth with QR. The profile is configured with lockdown with few apps only allowed.

The problem is that all apps are killed after returning to lockdown screen.

And because of this behavior, our main app returns to login screen which leads to loss of previously entered data.

Both Lockdown modes are tested, and even in Admin mode, no app is found in Recent apps. Apps are killed immediately after being sent to background.

Any suggestions?

Self-hosted Server: 15.5.0.1021

Agent versions tried: 15.0.1.1051, 2025.0.2.1045

Do you have Doze Mode disabled via Feature Control? It sounds like the apps might be killed due to Doze Mode.

Yes, doze mode is disabled.

It is possible that the issue is with the apk itself.

If you are using a Lockdown profile with launch items/apps on its home screen, change the lockdown launch items from Launch:// to Launchwithrecents://

Doze Mode being disabled also helps, and you can always tell the OS on the device to not perform battery optimisations on them which might also cause the problem, though the optimisations will large depend on how the developer has programmed the apps.

Hi Todor, 

when the Devices are new it can also depending on the installed OS Version on the CT45XP.

It could be that the new Devices are installed with an exteme outdated Firmware like:

311.03.01.0095-G = Android 11 Securety Level 2021-07-05

Latest Patch for CT45XP under Android 11 = HON4290WiFi6-R-311.C1.19.0363-G.zip

Or only have seen it after Reair return that the Devices are installed with the Latest Android 13 OS.

Additional i would recommand to Upgrade to a Higher Version like MC 15.6.6.* or 2024.1.2.*.

What i remind something is fixed with Android 11 or Higher in 15.6.*.....

My colleague enabled Doze mode by mistake.

After double checking the profile again the mistake was found.
