Moving SOTI Mobicontrol to Azure

Our company is moving all of our on premise Windows Servers to Azure.  What do I need to know before we move our SOTI Mobicontrol Windows server to Azure?

Hi Fred,

The following information is required during the SOTI MobiControl Azure directory service connection setup:

  • Federation Metadata Document URL
  • Azure AD Graph API endpoint (domain name only) Default is set to graph.windows.net by SOTI MobiControl.
  • Client ID of the application
  • Client Key of the application

Does the version of SOTI MobiControl matter?  We are using an early version.

Hi Fred,

Can you clarify, do you want to move your LDAP over to Azure or the whole Windows Server that hosts MobiControl?

If you're moving everything, including the server hosting MobiControl. I suggest you raise a new support case regarding this. Overall we offer a migration service via our Professional Services team, which is a paid service. However, If you choose to utilize a third party your support may be limited if the migration ultimately doesn't work as expected.
