Adding Macros into an Email Signature

SB

Good afternoon,

We are required to add an Office 365 email signature for all of our engineers' Android tablets and I have been asked if it is possible to do this within Soti as our engineers will have issues adding this manually!

I have managed to add a html signature for myself via an Exchange Active Sync profile which mirrors the company standard, however I now need to try and make this unique by user. According to the help files the only user Macros we have are %ENROLLEDUSER_DOMAIN%, %ENROLLEDUSER_EMAIL%, %ENROLLEDUSER_UPN% and $ENROLLEDUSER_USERNAME% however I am looking for a Macro that presents the user's First Name / Surname so we can add that to the signature. I appreciate we won't be able to pull location so I am planning to possibly push out multiple Exchange profiles with a target AD Group set for each location.

At the moment I think it isn't possible but I thought it would be worth the ask. I have already mentioned that it may be worth using a 3rd party application to add a signature for all users but this fell on deaf ears.

Thanks,

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

From what we know, MobiControl does not have Macros that capture user's First and/or Last name and the 'Signature' field does not accept Macros.

I will check if this is a feature we can request for future releases.

This is what I thought, although it would definitely be useful for a future release.

However, it does appear that the other macros do work in the Signature field as I have tested the below html signature line with the %ENROLLEDUSER_EMAIL% macro and this does work ok, but it would be really useful to have the First Name and Surname macros too, the other info in this sig we could have ascertained depending on which container they are in in MobiControl.
