Camera in Lockdown on Android 14

Dears,

I'm facing an issue on new devices running Android 14, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro.

Agent Version: 2024.0.5.1062
MobiControl Version: 2024.0.1.1020

I have a profile applied, with Lockdown and Camera and Gallery added to the Lockdown screen. Both apps has been enabled with script enable_system_app com.sec.android.app.camera/com.sec.android.gallery3d. However, when trying to open a camera, I got a pop up that "Security policy preventing use of Camera". Camera is enabled in feature control. I do have the same device running Android 13, enrolled with the same profile, where this issue is not present.

Does someone faced similar issue, and have a solution?

Dears,

Issue is sorted. It is purely my bad. What happened here, I moved this device from another folder (profile), to current configuration. Because of this, there were issues with Camera ("Security policy preventing use of Camera" pop-up). After I did factory reset, enrolled it with afw#mobicontrol and new enrollment policy, issue is gone. Thank you Rafael and Matt for your answers.

This should not happen. The movement of the device should ofc apply / remove configurations but not revoke permissions.

Rafael,

Previous profile had Camera disabled in Feature Control. But since I moved it to new profile, where Camera is enabled in Feature Control, it should pick up new configuration and allow me to use Camera. Somehow, this happened.

Maybe you need to enable more apps as on our Tab 3 (SM-T575) i see more camera apps:

Camera com.sec.android.app.camera
CameraExtensionsProxy com.android.cameraextensions
Cameralyzer com.sec.factory.cameralyzer
FactoryCamera com.sec.factory.camera

ensured that "Lockdown type" is not set to "Activity suppression"

try adding the Camera Activity ID

com.sec.android.app.camera/.Camera
