iPad automatic deploeyment

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the automatic enrollment via the Apple Business Mangaer. We are currently running on Soti 2024.01.
We have bought an iPad which is provided via the ABM and the correct server for Mobicontrol is also stored there. But now the device is not displayed. I have already tested the sync function and checked everything again to see if one of the connections is not configured correctly. Does anyone have any idea why I can't see the iPad in Mobicontrol?

If you need more information, I will of course send it to you.

If you can see the serial number of your new iPAD in your ABM console, and have assigned it to your MobiControl server correctly there, but cannot see the device even after enforcing an Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) sync-device operation in your MobiControl web-console, one possible reason is the time lag required for different Apple's backend servers to synchronize between themselves.  If the new device serial number was just added to ABM account using Apple Configurator Apps (running on either MacOS or iPhone/iPAD), the time needed to wait before one can see the device serial number in the assigned MDM server can vary from a few minutes to a few hours.

It's been two days now. Can it take that long? The device was entered by our distributor for the first time and aded to another MDM server. I then deleted it again and added it via the configurator again.

In the past, I did occasionally experience delays as long as a few days in the worst case.

Had your device been successfully enrolled onto another MDM server when it was deleted by you?

Is there any other Apple device bought together from the same distributor in the same order but have no ABM related problem similar to this current device?

No, the device was only added to the MDM server but was not unrolled.

No, this is the only device that came from the distributor at the time. In the meantime, however, I have ordered other iPhones that were also automatically added there and then set up via our other MDM service.

Under normal circumstances, device serial number already added to ABM account should only be deleted (retired) when it is sold or donated to another legal entity.    Otherwise, one should only reassign it to desirable MDM server, or have it unassigned from any  MDM server(s) integrated under the ABM account.  Casually deleting it and the adding it more than once within a short period of time may cause alarm in Apple's backend servers that some device-theft activity MAY be going on, and cause longer delay for different Apple backend servers to get synchronized.

Unfortunately, the device is still not visible to me in Soti.

Do you have any ideas what else I should check?
