Have you checked if you have any more device license available?

Yes everything is in order

Are you using SOTI MobiControl v15.6.3 or below? There's a known bug, which prevents devices from being re-enrolled. See release notes v15.6.4.

Yes, as Simon said there was a bug.

You may need to ensure that trhe device is not in the console anymore (delete it there) or (which i recommend) to upgrade to current latest version where this bug has gone.

Hello,

Thank you for your help, we are using version 15.0.2.1049 for the console and version 15.3.4.1113 for the client.

Is there a functional risk of switching to version 15.6.4?

I don't think i want / can grant you anything regarding this because your system may act different and use different functionalitys than our setup.

Always do a backup first and test a lot. And if something is issuing: rollback.
You also may not enroll nem end user devices (only some for testing) because if you need to roll back even those devices are no longer known by the system.

And I'm not sure if the issue was already in 15.0.X
Please check first if a remove (Delete) of the device gives you back the functionality of re-enrolling it (sometimes you may need to wipe the device and try again if the deletin was done after it was tried to re-enroll).

And if you use certificate based wifi authentication, you may wait with the upgrade (and life with the workaround) until next version is released because they planned to add the possibility to provide the domain there which was changed by Google in latest security patches for Android.

Before considering possible upgrade of MobiControl server, there are lots of things that can be done to debug and identify the problem source.   You can get into even bigger problem if server upgrade has not been properly planned and tested.    If I were you, I would first perform tests by enrolling of device of other brand(s)/model(s).   Check server logs and device logs for any warning/error messages to narrow down the problem if such tests fail too.  Enrolling with different device agent versions may also need to be tested.

Hi De Coster,

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse!

I would suggest you to create a support case with us so that we can collect logs and try to find out what exactly is causing the enrollment failure.

Kind regards,
