Problem enrolling a device in Soti.

Hello,


I have a problem when I try to enroll an old Zebra MC92N0 running Android 4.4.


To summarize, the device was functional, but when I searched for it in Soti using the Serial Number or MAC

address, I couldn't find it. So, I performed a factory reset, and now when I attempt to re enroll it, the device

gives me the message: "This device has been un-Enrolled by the Administrator."


Anyone know why I got that message and how can I get rid of it?

Hello Mat,

How did you do the factory reset? I recommend doing a factory reset using StageNow, as the factory reset invoked from the Settings app only does an Enterprise Reset, which could be causing the problem you mention.

To perform the factory reset, I scanned a barcode using StageNow, then the device did a factory reset.

Hi Mathieu,
What version is on your MobiControl server?

The MobiControl Stage app you are using is not supported on later versions.

Seen similar issue with MobiControl Stage app in 15.6 and later.

You can try with an later MobiControl agent and see if it enrolls. But Android 4.4 is also EOS but can be worth a try anyway.

I use version 15.6.5 of MobiControl.

If I want to try a later MobiControl agent, do I need to install it manually on the device?

Hi,
To try an later agent on one device i think manual installation is the fastest way. You can download the agent from https://soti.net/oem/

Chose Android Classic and then browse for Zebra in the list of available agents.

If it works on the test device and want a more automated process for download, installation and enrollment it can be done with StageNow if you have it on that device.
