Updating device with new profile taking long time..

Hi.

mobicontrol 15.6
TC52x device
Android 10

We have a single apk that runs on our work managed devices

When new apk needs pushing to device, I upload the pcg file (from mcpkg studio) and assign it in the profile. Until just recently, the device would get updated within like 5min... Not anymore for some reason.

I've tried manually Checkin the device but I cannot seem to trigger it to update/install the new apk.  I am not sure what triggers it.  

I have no Assign|Options set other than defaults.

The devices are on a 2hr Update Schedule.

It is now taking anywhere from 20min to an hour or more.  It used to be no longer than 5min.

Any ideas on how to get it out of the "Pending Install" phase ?

How many devices are affected by this change?

It could be if you make a change to too many devices at same time, the server gets a queue and it may take time to get rid of it.

Ok, that shouldn't cause such behavior ;)
Then we only have seen this on profiles having a big load (like many single files to be transmitted etc. inside of the profile) taking long, even not as long as you describe here.

And as you said, this wasn't the case before maybe an investigation with Soti would be needed so an explanation or issue can be found. As you can reproduce it, it seem promising to get some result.

Uploading apk file directly on Mobicontrol without using studio, helped you resolve the issue.

Your response is not really the answer...

The apk upload was just another way to push the update.

My real question the support person could not answer.

...which was... What determines when the Soti system decides to actually perform scanner updates?

Again, I was left with waiting ~30min for a single scanner to update a single apk.  I ended up soft restarting the scanner twice and then finally it started to update the scanner.
