Profiles visible in SOTI Mobicontrol.

Solved

Good morning.

We are running Soti MobiControl 20204.1.2.1046

I am wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem ive got, when i got back from vacation and logged into Soti MobiControl only 2 of our profiles are visible in the Profilelist.

Ive tried to use Chrome, FireFox and Edge - to check if browser differs the view - but they dont.

We have quite a few profiles running in our instance, and what i find weird is that when reinstalling any device - or installing a new one it grabs the right profile (even if i cant see it). As you can see i have no active filters.

When i check a newly installed device, it both removes and installs new profiles as i move the device from group to group - but i cant see or edit the profiles

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, as i would like to adjust some of my profiles for our devices.

The only thing that comes to mind is Profile permissions and visibility by role. You could lose visibility to the Profiles if your account role type was changed.

You may want to open a ticket with Soti support for this. I have noticed a similar issue, although not exactly the same, where a profile or policy was supposedly assigned to a group and in fact it no longer existed on the console. We had to have Soti support assist us with removing the remnant from the backend database.

Hi Roger,

Missing or outdated data may be displayed on the web-console when the cached data stored by Soti Search module gets totally out-of-sync with data in the MobiControl databases inside MS SQL server.  This may occasionally happen due to insufficient system memory or other run-time issues.  If such problem arises again every one or two weeks after performing relevant fix, then there might be a need to find out the root cause(s) and/or evaluate the need to upgrade to a more stable MobiControl version.

One quick fix is to stop/restart the MobiControl Search module (via MobiControl MCadmin Utility) and/or complete clean-up of cache files in Soti Search data directory.  This only takes 5 minutes or less for on-premises MobiControl implementation.  However, if your MobiControl instance is a cloud implementation, you have to send email to Soti support team to open an official support case, and request Soti cloud team to peform the above-mentioned tasks for you.
