Remote Control without prompt

Hello,

Ididnt't find how to remove the prompt to automatically take control with remote view on device.

- Mobicontrol Version: 15.6.1.1048

- Device Kind Android Enterprise

- Management Type Work Managed Device

I am log in the console with a user which is a mobicontrol Administrators

> In Device Groups permissions assigned on a directory where the device is :

The box Remote Control > Control without Notification is checked.

Are any other settings required?

We use only remote control but as far as i know remote view alwys shows the prompt as i see behaving like this on issuing devices when remote control is not working.

That's it.

i have two devices (same model) in the same directory with the same profile.

(Maybe the only difference is, one was enrolled with afw#mobicontrol the other via QRCODE)

> one with Remote control item displayed in first item if i click on the device

> The other, there are only Remote View displayed in 5th in the same menu

So how can i fix this ? I need remote control on all devices.

Hi Gabriel,

You already mentioned they have same profile but you may review here to send out the legacy script: SOTI Discussion Forum

And you may try to use legacy script on your device that does not have remote control icon to enable remote control: 

1.  _resetfailedrcdetectionflag
     restartagent

   for device agent lower than v13.6

2. retryrcdetection

    for v13.6+ agent

Additional to what Zafer wrote, ensure both are "Work Managed Device" in management type and check if both have the plugin installed (if required). It could be that the issuing device hasn't but the other one has. There's also a device action to do this.

After installing the plugin, Remote Control works fine without any confirmation message.
(Strangely I don't remember installing the plugin on the first device)

This should happen automatically but sometimes this fails (should be visible in the logs of the device at the relatively beginning after enrollment; we see this currently more often).
