Zebra Battery Swap with MobiControl in Lockdown Mode

Hi,

We are using Zebra TC70x GMS devices running Android 7.1.2 with MobiControl using work Managed device and Lockdown Mode.

Battery Swap is visible when pressing the power button on the Zebra device, but the app is not opening. If I go to Admin Mode, Battery Swap is not listed among the apps. It is available on the TC70x out of the box.

I understand the package name is com.zebra.hotswap, but apart from an instruction about Battery Swap and Device Administrator from Zebra I haven't been able to find any useful info.

Any ideas how to get it working?

If you can't see that app outside of the lockdown then you probably need to enable it a as a system app as the AEDO enrollment has disabled it by default. 

Try sending the following script to the device:

enable_system_app com.zebra.hotswap

The script together with adding a Lockdown menu item for com.zebra.hotswap resolved this (and with the menu item it works to run it from pressing the Power Button as well).
