SOTI Shared Device - Lock Screen Message?

Hi all,

Wondering if this is even possible or not

We have SOTI enrolled Android (Samsung Active Tab 3, and 5 model) devices in Shared Device mode
When a user signs into the device, they are required to set a session PIN.  (Entra connection)

Locking the device goes to the device lock screen, and then swiping will ask for the PIN

Here is the problem we have faced...

If the device does not have any visible stickers showing the serial number or similar identifiers, it becomes challenging to identify the device in order to force a sign-out and clear the PIN.

Is it possible to display on the device lock screen a message showing either the SERIAL number or Device Name? Currently it just says 'This device belongs to your organisation. Swipe to open."

any assistance would be appreciated

Thanks Robert,

Running that as a Script on the device worked. I can now see the DeviceName on the Lock screen

How can I set this script to run on all devices? Do I need to use File Sync

(Send a dummy file and enter the script into the Pre-Sync Script settings section) ?

All good, I just set it up using File Sync

Hi Nick, you can use a file sync but my recommendation is to use the task scheduler in profiles. Set it to run immediately, select your script and deploy. That's one of the purposes of the task scheduler, to facilitate the deployment of scripts in an easy manner.
