Zebra Andriod version 7.1.2 - Script push

Hi,

i try to push an android upgrade that works on all 6.0.1 versions but i cant push it to the 7.1.2 android versions.
We use Zebra TC70x and TC51 

Both can't be upgrade with a 7.1.2 android version.

I do it right: 

1. Push the file to the SD card.
2. Run the script: sendintent -b "intent:#Intent;action=com.symbol.intent.action.UPDATE_PACKAGE;S.file=/sdcard/FPU_ATLAS_02-32-04.00-OG-U00-STD.zip;end

I already tried both Zebra plugins but that didnt do the trick.
Hawke eye and the other one.

Have you tried running it with the install_system_update script instead of the intent approach?

install_system_update /sdcard/FPU_ATLAS_02-32-04.00-OG-U00-STD.zip

Hi Matt,

Yes i tried that to, didnt work and the log shows that the command was succesfull received by the device.

Can you manually kick off the OS Update in recovery mode on the device to ensure that it will process at least in that scenario? Trying to nail down where exactly it might be failing.

Did you manage to test Matt's suggestion above regarding loading the update through the recovery mode boot menu?

I can test it next week, because i am not at the company this week. i will let you know if it works :)

This error i got btw last week: Custom log (Mx OTA failed: /sdcard/FPU_ATLAS_02-32-04.00-ON-U00-STD) when i tried to do it remotely.

I tried manually and that works indeed. Why it won't work remotely?

Hi Chris,

Please raise a Support Case through support@soti.net, we'll then be able to investigate the issue on our side. Ideally what I suggest you do is ensure you're using the latest agent and plugin. Then collect RX Logger / ADB Logcat logs and note down key times and we'll be able to drill down the issue further.
