Hi, please check device mode in device details.
If it says something like -1, then try to resync your search going to global settings -> console settings -> Soti search settings -> sync now
Check again afterwards if it's gone now.
I've already tried this, the device still stays in the console, while I am getting log entries under it that say, "Device Deleted" after doing so, the error banner still shows up after attempting to delete.
Hmm, weird, because this yet did always work if i see such behavior randomly and quite rare.
This stemmed from me trying to enroll an SM-T290 Samsung tablet from another deployment server after unenrolling it from that other one, the enrollment attempt on the device didn't look like it went through, but the deployment server I was trying to enroll it to still has the entry for it.
Not sure if others here have experiences which might help but my best guess now is that everything else might be just a lot of guessing which points me to, that it would be best for you to create a support case at Soti.
Hi Oleg,
Is your delete problem related only to one and only one SM-T290 Samsung Tablet device with the messy unenroll/enroll tasks you mention?
In your posts with Rafael, there has been no mention about the device agent and enrollment mode used, or whether you can SUCCESSFULLY perform any other device action on the undeletable device. It is also not clear whether the two deployment servers you mentioned about are two DS of a common HA MobiControl instance or two DS belonging to two different MobiControl instances. In addition, the so-called ""Business Logic Error" may be related to bugs in Soti Search or other server module, or to conflicting options configured in "Enrollment" global-settings tab and/or enrollment options in your enrollment policy, but your MobiControl server version has never been mentioned (e.g. for preliminary check against resolved issues in release notes of different versions). What an interesting debug exercise you had with Rafael !!
Anyway, if the SM-T290 device has already been unenrolled (e.g. using admin mode on the device side or whatever other means applicable on your device), then the device is not an issue any more. In the worst case, the device record can always be removed directly from relevant MobiControl database table using MS SQL Management Studio or T-SQL script. Soti support team should have already tell you how to do so if you have already open a support case.
Hi Oleg,
Thanks for posting on SOTI Pulse, Thanks Rafael for responding to the post, your expertise and willingness to help are greatly appreciated!
Apologies from our side, for this particular issue we need to investigate further.
We request you to please raise a support case at log a case so that our agent can work on your query as quickly as possible.
