Bluetooth Option On Lockscreen

Hi

We have created a lockscreen for use with a Samsung Xcover 4, and was wondering if there is a way to add an option to go directly to the bluetooth settings.

so that the user can safely pair the device with their vehicle.

I know i can link to launch://com.android.settings

but would rather not give the user access to the main settings option.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

Have you tried Mobicontrol Settings Mananger? You can add this apk to your kiosk and modify with using bluetooth turning on/off, paring devices and more settings like wifi.

Hi Kamil

thanks for the reply, I had already added settings manager to my package and ticked all options for bluetooth.

I have even allowed bluetooth in feature control.

however when i drag down from the top bluetooth is activated but i receive the security policy prevents use of Bluetooth message.

Regards

Mark

Did you check the option "Disable Settings Changes" in your Lockdown configuration payload?  This may be the reason why you couldn't change any bluetooth related settings made.

According to specification found on the web,  your Samsung Xcover 4 should be running Android 7.0+.  Although there is way to add lockdown item to go directly to the Bluetooth page of Settings, the Android 7.0+ UI on your device will also allow the device end-user to go from this page to other pages of Settings.  This is not what you want according to your post.  So,  don't bother to try to add this lockdown menu item.

Hi Mark

I've just created a profile that contains a basic lockdown for an XCover 4 with access to System Settings.  I have been able to connect it via Bluetooth.  No other configurations have been added to the profile.

Do you have Feature control configuration added as part of this or another profile and if so, is Bluetooth disabled within it?
