Launch an app via TC75 button

Is there a way that I can assign a TC75 physical button to launch an app?

In particular my user needs to access a Push to Talk App while they are using another App which is running in full screen. At the moment they have to log out of the App they are using before they can access the Push to Talk App which is located on their lockdown screen.

Thanks

Is it the Zebra PTT Express or PTT Pro App? If so you can just use the PTT key mapping in order to trigger the activation of the PTT service without even having to launch the app itself. You can also map keys to launch specific applications if you still have that need. In either case you will need to use the KeyMappingMgr MX CSP and deliver the MX based XML to the device via a Package or File Sync rule and then process the XML with the mxconfig SOTI script.

Hi Matt

Thanks for your reply.

The application that I need to start from a button is Zello.

I followed your link but it says that  PTT key mapping is not available on a TC75?

The MX layer is continually updated and expanded on so some features may not early Zebra Android devices like the TC70/75. Some MX settings also require a minimum Android dessert flavor as well, which is the reason for the sub-distinction of OSX. Its likely that the TC70/TC75 doesn't have a high enough OSX level in order to support the particular setting. Are you sure that the device is a TC75 and not a TC75x? The two device model names are often thrown around interchangeably despite being different generations of the same form factor.
