Soti surf website loading

PH

We're starting from the lockdown a internal website via Sot Surf on the device. But sometimes the page keeps loading, and the screen stays white. When we're trying other browsers (chrome, on the device), the page will start without issues. When killing Soti surf, we sometimes needs 3 effords killing and starting the app to get the site loaded. A little workaround is stting the autorefresh on 30 second, then it will time out and Soti will handle a close message. But both is very annoying for the user experience.

Anyone got any tips!

From my experience it really depands on which Soti Surf version you are using, and also which Soti version.
With the latest Soti versions you have more options to manage Soti Surf Settings.

For example with 2025.x and higher you have the option to configure Set User Agent: Chrome.

Jordy,

Thanks for answering

We're using version 2025 (mobicontrol) and the latest version of Soti surf on the devices. The setting was already set on Chrome, it gets a bit better when i'm changing it to "default"

Dear Pieter,

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse.

Many thanks Jordy for your valuable inputs.

Could you please check below steps.

Toggle Kiosk Mode: A known temporary fix for 2024–2025 versions involves navigating to your Surf profile, turning off "Enable Kiosk Mode," applying the change, and force-quitting the app before relaunching.

Privacy Settings: If the white screen only appears during Remote Control sessions, ensure the setting "Disable Screen Capture when Browsing" is off under Privacy Settings, as this intentionally hides the screen from remote view.

Permissions: Confirm that the SOTI Surf app has all required Android permissions enabled, specifically:

net.soti.mobicontrol.permission.GET_DATA

net.soti.mobicontrol.permission.DEVICE_INFO

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out or you can contact us at  support@soti.net

Issue found, the problem occurs due the certificate check when starting Soti Surf URL from the lockdown menu. Uninstalling the latest version of Webview from our devices solved this issue.
