Process Description
The SOTI XSight platform offers functionality to save and manage Live View sessions for enhanced device monitoring and management. To use SOTI XSight Live View Saved Sessions:
1. Verify the SOTI XSight configuration and SOTI XSight Agent deployment. Ensure SOTI XSight is correctly configured on the server and the SOTI XSight Agent is deployed on the devices. The status of the SOTI XSight Agent on each device must have a Connected status to the server.
2. Verify access Live View. Open the SOTI XSight console and navigate to Live View. Select a view from the drop-down menu and initiate a session.
3. Monitor the devices. Devices associated with the selected parameters will populate the map view, providing real-time data as configured during the Live View setup.
4. Select Save to save the Live View session. A dialog prompts you to provide a name for the session. Enter a descriptive name and select Save to save the session.
5. Post-save considerations. For SOTI XSight 2024.0.0 and later, there is a delay of 5-7 minutes after saving a running session. Ensure that the live session browser window remains open during this period to ensure proper functionality. Attempting to close the browser window or attempting to start a saved session immediately after saving may result in operational issues. In SOTI XSight 2025.0.0 and later, this delay is eliminated.
