Process Description

Remotely access the UI: MobiControl lets you access your device UI and perform functions. It also gives you the flexibility to work in curtain mode where end users will not be able to see what actions are being performed by the device administrator. The curtain mode feature is useful when you are performing remote maintenance of a device which is being used by the public.

Access terminal from the web: To access terminal, Normally the user will need tools such as putty and needs to be in the same network as a device to access the device terminal. Using MobiControl, you can access web terminals from anywhere, any network. It does not require any download or installation.

Web Console access: User can now directly access a web console hosted on the device. Many of Linux devices do not have UI, more often the manufacturer builds web console and host on a device to manage and perform actions on the device. To access the web console of a device, the user would have to be in the same network as a device.

Schedule execution of scripts: MobiControl allows to schedule execution of scripts on the device via task scheduler profile. Once the profile has been installed on the device, scripts will be executed at the scheduled time even if the device is not connected to the network. It can be used to perform regular maintenance, health check-up and install software updates.

Execute the script as an action: User can select the device and execute the script on the device. This script can be selected from the script library or can be created at run time. MobiControl allows to create and save scripts in the script library.

Multi-language script support: In case, users are not adept in writing scripts in a specific language, MobiControl allows to create the scripts in JavaScript, Python, Perl and Shell languages. It is useful for organisations who do not have trained Linux resources. It also increases chances to find solutions from publicly accessible resources in multiple languages.
