how can we do a Android Entreprise Enrolment of a Zebra TC56 device which is under android 8, knowing that the on premise soti-mobiControl platform is offline
Hello, We need the assigned device name (StageNow - Hostname) in a txt file. About ADB it is possible but unfortunately not over SOTI. Does someone has any idea? We would like to use the file to enter the host Name automatically. best regards Marco
We are using Android Enterprise and locking down the phones to a lock screen with one app and a button to the Wi-Fi settings. How would a user go about connecting to a public Wi-Fi that requires a log in screen in browser? Is there any workaround to allow access to just that page when needed? I've not tested yet but assume this page would just fail to open.
Hi all, We are testing Honeywell CT60 scanners with proxy auto-config settings where we specified the PAC URL and set it as DHCP. When using Chrome in lockdown we can access the whitelisted URL's and it works as expected. But when using Soti Surf it gives us a white screen and after 10 seconds a time-out. Can Soti Surf work with the proxy auto-config? Are there extra configurations we need to push? The current server version is v14.2.1.4394
Hi, I am deploying an ConfigurationURL.xml file to a Zebra tc77 device, to the exact same folder as on a tc75(which automatically imports), which for some reason does not get imported. It is not a protected partition on Android 8.1, its the sdcard\wavelink folder, and we are using the very same telnet agent version from wavelink. I assume some kind of Android OS-change, but cant see why. They are enrolled as AEDO. Any suggestions?
Hi, We've just started producing device in Android Enterprise rather than Android Plus and I've noticed that the device downloads the latest released agent. Is there a way to control the version downloaded? I've tried changing the agent download to be from the server rather than google play in the add device rule but it still downloaded the latest version.
I have two Zebra VC80X devices that I deleted from the management console and performed a factory reset on each. Now when I try to re-enroll them with MobiControl Stage they are both getting a "Duplicate Device ID" error and they won't enroll. I checked and rechecked that the devices have been deleted from the management console so I'm at a loss as to why it keeps saying Duplicate Device ID. Please help.
Hello Is there any way to see when the time/time zone have been fixed by Mobicontrol ? We need to monitor these changes since this implies something happened with the device/user and is very important for this use case. I remember that was logged with Windows Mobile devices, but now with Android+ devices (OEM Agent) it is not shown in device logs. Time sync works but there is no log of events. The alert for Time Sync Configured only works for changes in the TimeSync configuration. I appreciate your commets on this topic.
Hello, We're looking to a very specific version of device plugin for Zebra/Motorola.Not sure what the filename would be. Presumably would contain 1.4.1 in it.The .pcg would install: Package Name : net.soti.mobicontrol.enterprise.motorola Name: MobiControl Motorola MX Service Version : 1.4.1+c9ef2f7 Already contacted SOTI support, they are looking for this already 2 weeks, but can't find it. Anyone has this version downloaded somewhere?
MobiControl 13.4, Samsung Galaxy Tab A (SM-T510), Android 9.0, Android+ I have an in-house developed app that allows my end users to call the default camera app & take a picture of a document, crop it, adjust the brightness & contrast, then returns that image to the original app to upload to our proprietary system. My app and its ability to call the camera, take the picture and send the document all work fine with MobiControl installed & the device not in Kiosk Mode, or if there is an explicit link in Kiosk Mode to launch the camera (Launch://com.sec.android.app.camera). I do not want users to access the camera directly, only from inside the app so I have removed the link in Kiosk mode and unchecked Samsung Package Disabling in Advanced Lockdown Settings in Kiosk Mode settings. This seems to allow the camera, but the camera crashes and resets the tablet back to the Kiosk launcher view. I got to this point by referencing these two threads here and reproducing the steps for these solutions: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/how-do-i-enable-the-camera-app-and-gallery-while-the-device-is-in-lockdown-kiosk-mode-on-a-tc77/ https://discussions.soti.net/thread/enable-camera-in-lockdown/?reply=9b398a2d-2ca7-4142-ba08-c03cf59bea6a#createpost Is there any way around having to explicitly link the camera app since there is no true single app mode for android apps like there is for iOS apps?
We have recently found that we are unable to factory reset any devices enrolled within our Android Enterprise enrollment if they offline within Mobicontrol and have an unknown password / passcode set. Prior to the introduction of AE we were able to get the devices password / passcode incorrect a set number of times before it initiated a factory reset of the device. We have the same configuration set within our device profiles, but after the set number of incorrect passwords / passcodes are entered its simply loops round to locking us out for say 30 seconds and then requests for the password / passcode again. Has anyone else experienced this? We've logged it with our support partner but they have advised its the agent version installed on the phones, this affects every single device we have enrolled within AE (variety of agent versions) and we can only factory reset the device IF its online within our MobiControl portal? We have "Disabled Factory" reset within the feature control for all devices, which was also present prior to AE and we also have "Maximum number of failed password attempts before device wipe" set to 8, which was also the same prior to AE. Please help guys.
I'm trying to enroll Zebra MC33 devices to an on-premise MobiControl. The devices are connected to a network without internet accesss. Enrollment fails with error message regarding SSL Handshake. I have ticked the "Enroll on SafetyNet Attestation Failure" in the add-devices rule. Any idea ?
Good morning, I have applicated the kiosk mode on the Zebra TC25 device and I have Disable Status Bar Expansion. In this mode I have see that I when launch my app that I authorized in Device Control, the touch in top right point don't work. When the Status Bar Expansion was enable the issue wasn't present. Why this problem? Thank you in advanced. Best regards.
Hi Team, First time poster here, although I've been floating around the forums benefiting from the shared wisdom posted here for the last few months. I've run into a dead end with this particular issue, and i'm hoping i can get some advice on how to proceed. We've run into an issue recently that seems to only affect Android 9 devices on the Android Enterprise configuration. The lock screen (when you first unlock the phone before swiping to unlock, or entering a PIN etc) doesn't seem to display notifications of any kind We've noticed that when the device is in lockdown mode, we can't see any notifications at all on the lock screen, in fact in order to see the notifications, we need to enter administrator mode, or send the "lockdown off" script via MobiControl. Some of our sites rely on system-generated messages sent to mobiles to give the staff instructions on where to check, and which routes to take etc. When i take a look into the settings of the device, i can see that under the lock screen portion, the Notifications button is set to disabled, and is greyed out i.e. cannot be adjusted. Again, as this only affects Android 9 devices on Android Enterprise, i'm baffled at what i can do to resolve this. ! Some points on our configuration ! #: Lockdown config: Activity Suppression enabled. Disable Status Bar Expansion Enabled. Using Device Control. #: Feature Control: Redact Notifications is not ticked. Disable all notifications is not ticked. Disable all system UI is ticked, although this didn't seem to have any effect on this problem either way. #: We use the MobiControl Stage Programmer app with NFC for smartphones, and the QR Code for tablets. #: Android Plus covers 80% of our fleet, with 20% of Enterprise devices distributed in the last 3 months. #: I've configured the devices to land in a blank folder with no payloads, and once they are enrolled and ready, i'll manually drag the device into a folder with a profile targeted to said folder, which will push the profile/payloads. #: We use the J5 Pro (Android 8.1), Galaxy A20 (9.0) and the Galaxy Tab a 2017 (8.1). If the guard misses a message, this can be a massive compliance issue, so unless the guard keeps their device open on the SMS app, there's a good chance they'll miss it. Has anyone else run into this issue before? Any assistance of advice provided would be sincerely appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Joell
