Hi, I am trying to brainstorm a solution to be able to get the application version of our custom application stored as a column within MobiControl. We have many app versions deployed in the field depending on customer type etc and being able to easily see this in a column would help tremendously. I would think this is somewhat doable, since Mobi certainly knows the versions of apps installed. I have looked through Custom Data, etc but I don't see a way I can do this at the moment without a text/ini file available. Our development team could look at changing our application to write version number to a text file, but getting a new version deployed to 3000+ devices is cumbersome as a fix. Not to mention that our app can't be updated while in use, so app updating is a nightmare at times for scheduling when devices are not in use all around the country in vehicles. That's a different soap box. Does anyone know of a way to have a column show a specific app version without grabbing from txt/ini file?
We have Samsung M20 devices We have applied factory reset and safe boot restricted profile it was working fine until the device get the latest android update. after the update now even we revoke the profile from console the factory reset not enable. even it is not enable when switch to the Administrator mode from MC agent. and there are some other issue. Hello, I'm testing out Android 11 on the Zebra MC9300 and I'm unable to see the folders under sdcard\Android\data when using the remote control tool. I have verified the MobiControl application has all the permissions enabled. Any ideas on what I can try? Agent Version: 15.1.0 Build 1045 Active MDM API: Zebra EMDK, Android Plus 1.6, Work Managed Device, RC+ (1.19.0.100) MobiControl Version: 15.3 Thanks, John
Hi everyone, I need to configure the Velocity application on Andoird 12 terminals. I followed the ZEBRA article "Distribute Velocity Client Settings Using SOTI MobiControl" about this but a WEB connection is required. My client doesn't have web access, so I can't use the corporate store. Does anyone have a trick to push configuration files from an app on android 12 ?
Hey, we get the error message "Failed to parse XML file(IOException) /sdcard/DatiGestioneMerci/DeviceInfo.xml" from several of our TC51 Does anyone have an idea where this can come from? Device: Zebra TC51 Android 8.1 Mobicontrol Agent: 14.0.0.1579
Hello, Is there a way to set and idle time out for a shared device? So if the user doesn't push a button on the device in lets say 30 minutes, can we have the device auto logout of shared device mode?
Hi everyone , Got a few question for all of you, hopping someone will have a better idea that the one I had. Ok so, here's the situation, we own around 180 Memor10 at the moment , 2 for each shop we own. At first we managed to seperate things the way we used to do before as ; - 3 Groups ; Production , Development , Testing- One Sub groups for each shops we own. Got a relocating rules that force device to correctly assigne to the correct store based on their IP Adress. Here's the problem... we need sometime to make some test over new app we release, so I assign the new / test version to DEV / Test Profile (wich are assign to group of same name) and manually move sub-group to the parent one. Doing this I Loose my relocating rule everytime and it take lot of time to make thing clear and straight again. Lately ..I found about Custom attributes, wich seem to be a new way to work for that... as I could just put everyone in the same groupe, and create virtual group based only on this custom Attribute. My problem is...is there a way to "massively" change or reset those custom attributes? I mean...everyone could have "PROD" attribute by default...change it to "TEST" for a while, that way profile would update correctly. But then I would neeed to reset everything back after testing is done. Sometime it's one shop...sometimes got to do it on 40... That's why i'm here today...hoping maybe someone already had this kind of situation and found a way to work that may suits us too. Thanks in advance.
I need to know what the JSON script should look like for the Samsung KME profile to enroll devices with zero touch. I've tried a couple of things to no avail. Can you please show what the script would look like? {"enrollmentId":"xxxxxxxx"} Is that all it should be?
Our customer has initiated of SOTI risk assessment of SOTI Mobicontrol console. One of the questions asked. 1. Whether customer applications (In house application) will saved any application data/stored password/logs? It would be great if someone reply back to my clarification. 2. Primary and secondary: Where its located? Need details of primary and redundant availabilities as just information. Instance: Cloud Instance Mobiles/TABS: SOTI Mobicontrol SOTI Instance Version: 14.3.4.1087
Over the past week or so we've been running into new MGPA error occasionally when attempting to force update managed apps remotely. The error says 'Please open my apps to establish a connection with the server.'. The MGPA binding appears to be fine and we've even force reinstalled the Managed Google Play Configuration profile, but continue to get the error. Has anyone else been seeing this error? Is this a bug? Do we need to have SOTI do something on the backend of our cloud instance to re-establish the MGPA account binding? Or is there some other way to get past this error to force the update on devices that are having this issue? Looking forward to hearing back from the group.
I would like to download the latest 14 agent but I can't using the soti.net or other websites suggested earlier. We are on 14.1 and I have tried the newest version 15.1 but there are some bugs I am not comfortable with in the Webconsole (APIs aren't reporting currectly, etc). 2nd question is the easiest upgrade path for the agents either on Soti WebConsole or Honeywell EP (Honeywell devices of course).
Struggling bad with this. I can't get newly enterprise enrolled Samsung S21's running Android 12 (Has happened on S10s running 11 as well) to work with SOTI Surf consistently. Every time we open SOTI Surf or tap on a link in an Outlook email we see the message 'Your request has been declined for security reasons'. This happens on a majority of devices being enrolled as part of an enterprise binding. Brand new devices factory reset and as soon as Surf is installed it happens. However if we keep resetting the devices sometimes 4 or more times it will eventually work without the errors. It's taken a 15 minute process and made it 4 to 6 hours per device. We did find that if we change the SOTI Surf configuration from Catalog home page to Web home page the startup error message doesn't happen, but the web link in an email from Outlook still causes it. Anyone?
Hello, I have problem with getting remote control on MC930B Android 8.1, agent verion 15.1.0.1045, MobiControl version 15.3.0.6711. Device don't have connection to internet so we instaled MC with GoogleMobiControl1510_1045.apk file, I installed plugin Zebra_Hawkeye_RC_AE_1.6.0.102 using profile in mobicontrol. After all I got only Remote View option and no Remote Control option. Tried different plugins, with no result.
I know this is more for Honeywell but the Thor VM3A is dropping WiFi during provisioning of a clean device. I am able to reboot once, let the process fail as it drops wifi again before it grabs the Soti APK, and then click on manual setup and it finishes provisioning. It is weird as CT60 and CK65 are clean as possible.
On the Honeywell devices it installs all the APIs needed on the Device but Webcontrol is showing: Remote View, Work Managed Device I don't know if it is a major bug as I can still remote into devices. Noticed this before a major deployment of over 50 devices.
