I have a customer who is trying to use Smart Switch to copy over everything including the home screen layout from one tablet to another. For some reason, the likes of Home Screen is not showing as an option, whereas if I try and copy my AE device to my work phone which is not on MobiControl, the home screen displays. What config change do I need to make to allow the likes of the home screen to show in the app? I know there are several options/settings within the Knox Service Plugin, but I've no idea what does what within there?
Hi there, I`m facing a issue regarding Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5. I`ve installed an application that monitor the fleet but the users find a way to exit from it and now they have access to google search bar(marked withe the red line) and some apps like google play, google, setting and it`s not ok. I didn`t find a way to block this security breach. As you may find in the picture below, the term "Cautare" means "Google search bar" and "Inchidere totala" means "Close All". The user should`nt have the possibility to leave the app and see these options(search bar and apps). Agent version: 14.5.5, but I`ve tried even with older agent versions but I`m facing the same issue. OS version it`s Android 11, One UI 3.1. Please let me know what to do in order to block the user to leave the main application. Thank you very much for your support.
A customer of ours is querying where pushed (downloaded) files from the content library are stored on the tablet? I presume in some 'non-visible' locker within MobiControl?
I have deployed Samsung Galaxy Note phones for several years now, starting with Note 4 and now we have a handful of Note 9s in the field (we do equipment delivery, so I don't need the latest and greatest). I've noticed that when I click the Remote Control function in MobiControl's web interface, I can only view a Note 9s screen. I cannot actually interact with the screen as I did on Note 4-8. I can click the Home, Lock, etc. buttons at the bottom of the remote control interface, but anything "on-screen" does not respond to my mouse movements. These phones are geographically distributed, so I can't bring them in-house to make any config updates; only push out new updates from the Mobi console. How can I remote control my Note 9s? Good Morning. I pushed a very heavy update to our profile that contains our company devices. For the most part, the installation is going well. I have about 9 devices that are showing "Partially Installed" .I'd like to identify those devices to take a look at the configuration and troubleshoot. This profile has over 500 devices, so looking through each device is not efficient. Do SOTI have a feature or script to ping the partially installed devices?
Hi, I've noticed that my custom data is no longer working on our new devices (TC57X Android 10). From the logs: "Error message received from device (Unable to read file at specified path: /internal/PIN.ini)" This custom data rule works on the older devices; TC55 Android+ and TC56 Android Enterprise. I'm guessing it's an Android security thing, not allowing access to the internal storage? The file is in the only internal storage location accessible: "/sdcard/" Device TC57X OS 10 Agent 15.0.0.1110 MC v15.4 Custom Data Name: PIN Build Type: INI File INI File name /internal/PIN.ini Section Name: PIN Value Name: PIN Data type: STRING We also use the Custom Data to rename the devices (also not working), for this the INI file has the HW Serials as the Section name and the value is the easier to read device name. Good Morning, I am looking for a way to generate a report to see what devices are currently on and connected to SOTI. I am pushing several App packages tonight and would like to have an idea of how many devices are currently connected at the time of the updates so I can monitor and support if needed. I would also like to figure out a way to check what devices haven't connected in a while lets say 1 week or 1 month. What is the best method to achieve these two sets of data?
We have 250 Pixel 5's we'd like to disable the Tap to Wake feature on. We have nurses that say it is being woken while they are walking around and making calls. Is there a configuration profile or a script that could disable that feature.
Setup basic profile for android enterprise Samsung tablet (os11) with kiosk mode (with only chrome) and Application control. Everything was working correctly until a barcode scanner was connected to the tablet via usb. When the user taps on an input field, the keyboard does not display. I have removed the scanner and rebooted the tablet, but I cannot enable the keyboard again. I have not disabled any settings or lockdowns. I work for a large company and Intune is used for all external devices like cell phones but I have MobiControl v15 fpr internal use with Zebra TC21 & TC70x. Can they both use the same Android Enterprise setup?
I am trying to enroll some Samsung Galaxy Tab A's with our Android Enterprise profile. The add device setup has "Usage Access" "Modify system settings" and "draw over other apps" set to accept silently, but it doesn't appear to be working. It is still prompting us to allow them manually. We are on Mobicontrol Version: 15.4.0.4737 Agent V 15.0.0.1110 Anyone have an ideas why?

Hello Soti Forum, we have quite a few Zebra MC33 in use. Previously, these were delivered with Android 8, but in the past there were problems with the connection to Soti. For this reason, a downgrade to Android 7.1.2 was made at that time before installation. In the meantime, the installations with Android 8 have mostly worked again, but we now have 80 devices that still have an Android 7.1.2. Can you tell me what the best method would be to upgrade these devices as stress-free as possible for us and the users? I don't like to send users a list of barcodes where they set the device with to factory settings, etc.At best, they should be aware of the upgrade as little as possible. I just found out, that there is a button for "Migrate to Android Enterprise" + I have found 'This is possible with Zebra Android devices. You'll need to first transfer the firmware files to the device via a Package or a File Sync Rule. install_system_update /sdcard/YOURUPDATE.zip' Sounds not so bad. A best practise solution would be helpful then 🙂 Is there a script that can be sent to the device to install the update and at best not reset everything? I would be very grateful for any tips. I am testing mobicontrol as a potential support tool for a clients roll out of M3 SM15X devices and I have an SM15N device for my testing. I have manged to enrol my SM15N (Android V7.1.1) device and I can remote control it using the M3 SM10 profile and this works fine. When trying to use the same solution for the SM15X (Android 8.1.0) devices there is no option for Remote Control, only remote view. How can I get remote control working for the SM15X devices?
I have a couple of devices, android plus, OEM Agents currently on 14.5.5, I have updated the agent compatibility on the server so the devices are showing that they need an agent upgrade.However, it doesn't matter how many times I click Upgrade Agent, they just will not upgrade. The devices have plenty of space, and battery charge. Any ideas of how to resolve this please
