Hello everyone.I wanted to ask you how can I add multiple exceptions on a wifi profile in the proxy tab -> exceptions. How do I separate multiple entries into exceptions, by commas ? Is the symbol : * taken into account for example : 10.* ?Thank you.Regards.
Hello, is it possible to configure a message for the user/device, that there will come a remote control? I must inform the user that i have a look on the device before i remote and he must give the ok because it is necessary with the DSGVO. Kind regards,
Hello, Is there a script to set a default launcher for AE Samsung devices? I see there is MX configs for Zebra, but not seeing anything for Samsung.
Last year it looked like a solution for deploying DataWedge profiles/configs to Android devices in Device Owner mode was discovered. I'm trying to perform the exact same action on a Zebra TC52 running Android 8.1 and higher. I've followed the thread above and official documentation from Zebra, but something is off somewhere. I've tried both the Android Enterprise and legacy Device Admin (just for giggles) commands to no effect. __chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db AND execute_shell chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db The device logs even show the file was successfully downloaded to the device, but for whatever reason DataWedge is failing to pick up the file and import it. Even FCing the app before or after a sync and a device reboot nothing gets imported. What am I missing here?
Hi, Our Samsung SM-T510 tablets are now upgrading to V10 Android and afterwards we now have a warning message that pops up when running Mobicontrol Settings Manager... "The apps was built for an older version of Android and may not work properly. Try checking for updates or contact the developer." I downloaded and created a new package for the latest available version from SOTI and the problem will exists. Can you offer any advice please? Soti Cloud Server Version: 14.2.2.1170 Agent version: 14.3.0.1000
Hi, all devices hangs up in the enrollment when i will give the permissions. I switch the right to overdraw to allow, bute the profile don't go to the next step. Nothing happens. Is there a way to set the permissions otherwise, maybe via script?
Hi! We have started seeing some problems with scheduling a package installation with the functionality of Package Install Date. If we for example assign a profile to install the package at a given time nothing will install on the majority of devices, we can remote control the devices, do checkins, but no installation. Until we do a restart of the agent. Then the installation goes through. Are there anyone else that have experienced the same?
I am currently in the process of updating the OS on 100 radios. For the most part is has been pretty smooth. I created a package that includes the HE Full update, as well as the incremental update. I have a script included in the package to install the HE Full update, since that needs to be installed first. Then I have a task scheduler profile set up with the script to install the incremental update the next day. The HE Full update installed successfully on each device. The incremental update successfully installed on almost all of the devices but a few (I think they were disconnected from the WIFI). So I sent a script manually to install the incremental update on those few devices. I had no issues with the installation on those few, except for 1 of the devices. For the 1 device that is having issues, I keep receiving an error message stating "OS Update has failed to install. Please assure you have the correct package". I am positive I have the correct package, and it says the profile and package are installed on the device. All 100 devices are the same model, Zebra TC8300. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hello, Several customers are have problems with Samsung devices that upgrade to Android 10. After the upgrade, the Mobicontrol agent keeps on asking to activate ELM licence and it crashes when trying to do that. In the settings, these devices do not show info of Knox. So I think the upgrade did not include Knox and now those devices can not be managed by Mobicontrol. Is there any solution for this issue? Can Mobicontrol manage Samsung devices without Knox ? Thany you.
Hi I've had a report that new XCover 4s's are failing to enroll. The evidence I have so far (I get a device in a day or so to verify) is that they are following standard procedure for a new build by entering afw#mobicontrol at the verification screen. When they get to the enrolment screen they enter the key, press enrol and it fails. There is nothing in the logs to show an attempt has been made. They have tried multiple WiFi connections (although how could they download if not) and no working SIM is installed yet. I have tried a 4S I have in the office and that enrols fine. Other devices (Samsung XCover 4) have enrolled in the last few days. server is 14.4.9 Does anyone have any suggestions of things to try?
Hello, I would like to add an entry in the lokdown menu to open an Android broadcast intent. I've tried with the sendintent command which works correctly, but it's not working with an entry in lockdown menu. Command launched with sendintent (OK) : sendintent -b "intent:#Intent;action=android.intent.action.SOS_BUTTON;end;" Launch in lockdown menu (not OK): intent:#Intent;action=android.intent.action.SOS_BUTTON;end I presume that in second case it's a activity intent launched by default, but I have no idea how to launch a broadcast.Thank you for your help
I know this may have been answered somewhere else but from what I have seen, it doesn't answer my question 100%. I have a non-production lockdown group that I need to test by assigning a package to that group before I assign it to my lockdown production group. Whenever you update your package, you need to assign it to the lockdown group. Now, let me just say, using MobiControl is fairly new to me. There are a few things I can do but this is not one of them. I would appreciate any help with this.
Is there a way to enable Google Chrome Lite Mode through a script or package in MobiControl v15.1?
Hi, We have Zebra TC77 devices with our customers and the users have been able to activate the "Talk back" functionality. I believe they have been able to do this as the accessibility shortcuts are turned on. To activate this, I believe you press and hold both the volume up and down. Is there a way to switch the ability to be able to do this across the whole estate as we have many of these devices out in the field and some in different countries. ThanksJosh.
The usecase: A customer of ours uses truckscales/weighbridges. The weight is being shown on a specific URL, one for each scale/bridge. Truck drivers are using Zebra TC57 devices under our control, using a lockdown and SOTI Surf installed. This customer does not want their truck drivers to freely use a browser. They also don't want 135 different accessible URL's on some kind of landing page, truck drivers could choose the wrong truckscale and report the wrong weight. Ideally they want their truck driver to scan a NFC tag on a truckscale which leads them to that one specific page, in SOTI Surf (not Chrome). This should be possible by using an intent and encoding that into the NFC tags, right? Basically telling the Zebra TC57 to open SOTI Surf and to surf towards a specific url. Browsing through these forums, I found two possibilities but neither seems to work: intent:https://mobicoach.eu#Intent;action=Intent.ACTION_VIEW;component=net.soti.surf/net.soti.surf.ui.activities.SplashActintent:https://mobicoach.eu#Intent;scheme=https;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=net.soti.surf;end Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
