We updated an existing application to a new version. When the device installs the update, the update fails and MobiControl dashboard reports that the package failed to install (prescript abort).The package does not have any preinstall scripts so I'm not sure what's going on. Also if I revert back to the old version, everything is fine. If I go into the device in MobiControl and force the package reinstallation, it installs fine on the device, but still says Failed to install (prescript abort). Any ideas?
MobiControl Agent icon will not appear in system tray when on a corporate network; however, it I take the laptop off the corporate network or work remotely the agent icon will appear. How do I get it to always appear?
Hi, I am trying to create a .bat file that will copy the information from ipconfig and write it to a file. I can install the script fine but how do I get mobicontrol to run the file upon installation? Hi, maybe a simple question. But is there an option to leave or deactivate the lock down modeon a windows machine? MC version: 15.1.2.1035Windows agent version: 15.1.2.32 For example: My windows device (10, classic) doesn't connect to my MC server. When that happens i justdisconnected the connection within the windows agent and reconnected it again. That worksfor me. Sometimes the agent is not listed in the system tray but a restart helps sometimes. But when i am in a lock down mode i have no access to the system tray to start the agent fordisconnecting and connecting. So is there a way to disable the lock down like on android devices? A little information about my lock down profile: File explorer is allowed driver C:\ is completely blocked/disabled (used a script to set registry entry) Template is almost like the default windows classic template Thank you!
I am attempting to run MobiControl Package Studio on a Windows 10 Pro for Workstations. 64-bit virtual machine running on VMWare Fusion Player v12.1.2 (17964953). When i try to start the application, it never appears on the screen but does start a task, MobiControl Package Studio (32-bit), in my Task Manager that persists. I have tried configuring the application for compatibility mode without success. Can you help?
We are brand new to Soti and wondering if there is a way to automatically populate the Windows Device Name of a Laptop in the Soti MobiControl (Device Name)Right now every new laptop we add just shows up as Windows 1, Windows 2, Windows 3, etc.Seeing the laptops have a Device Name set, can't Soti populate those in MobiControl?At the moment we have to manually rename each Windows 1, Windows 2, Windows 3 laptop in MobiControl to match the Windows Device Name.Suggestions are welcome.Thanks!

Hi, We would like to change our MC server (v14.4.9.1034) and plan to backup / restore the MobiControl database on a new machine (same MC version). Could you please tell me where are the certificates stored on the server or how to export them from the Administration Utility? Do we have to open each certificate and export it? Thank you in advance

Our Security department doesn't like that our Windows CE MC92N0 have default 'PUBLIC' SNMP community name with no password. I can't find anything in Soti that is using SNMP, and I don't have anything outside of Soti reading SNMP from these devices. Does anyone see/know of any negative affect by disabling SNMP on these old dinosaurs?
Hi, one of our clients is experiencing a very strange behaviour of Package Studio. When they remove the reference to the previous version of the .apk file from the package project file and add a reference to the new version, the path to that file doesn't include the drive letter. This results in an error when the project is built, because the file cannot be found. Is there a particular reason for that behaviour, or is it a bug? Regards, Daníel
Hello, Does anyone know how to run scripts correctly in pre/post context with SOTI packages? For instance, I want SOTI to launch a program after running an installer. If I type the command in cmd the program launches fine. If I run it through SOTI's "Send Script" or in a install script, it does nothing. My understanding is SOTI launches and runs commands under the current user, so if I can run it manually without an admin prompt it should work. Thanks!
Hello, I have looked through SOTI documentation and other forum posts but have been unable to find information on if it's possible to mass-entroll or auto enroll Windows devices into SOTI. For example I have dozens of PC's I need to get into our SOTI server. I could browse to the URL and download the agent that way, manually. Or I can transfer the exe program to it, and run it. I was thinking of trying to do this through GPO but you can't deploy applications as an .exe there, have to be msi. Is the .exe enroll package able to be run by command line? I tried enroll.exe /? and -?, as well as /silent -silent /verysilent -verysilent but it never worked. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks.
