Mobicontrol -Version: 15.0.1.1181soti agent ver: 15.0soti surf 15.3honeywell ck65 android 10Normally we use a lockdown page to hide all the setting but in this case we will not. On a couple of these devices we are not using any Lockdown pageDesired Outcome:Do not want the user's to access Android SettingsWant Admin to be able to use the Android Settings (in case something needs to be changed in settings)On first try I went to Application Run Control in the Profile and blacklistDevice Settings %settings% which removes the gear all-together However now Admins cannot access the device settings because the gear is gone How can I approach this: want the admins to access device settings but users not access device settings One other note: when I blacklist list, is it stopping any of the internals from working properly? or is it just hiding the Icon??
Hi, We are planning to upgrade our current SOTI MobiControl server from version 14.4.3.1153 to the latest 15.5.0. First we will update Windows server from version 2012 R2 to 2016. Then the SQL from version 14 to version 16. Half of our devices have Android 6.0 with agent version 13.7.0.1031. The other half are with Android 11 and agent 15.0.1.1051. So my question is in the title: Will agent versions 15.0.1.1051 and 13.7.0.1031 work with server version 15.5.0? Thank you!
Hi, Can someone provide guidelines regarding Installing/binding/using third-party SSL cert on a on-premise serveur with soti v15.5 ?
Hello community, in some apps like Microsoft Teams you can't dictate texts. The microphone icon is missing and I cannot activate speech to text in the settings when the devices are in lockdown. As soon as I am in admin mode, I can activate this function. Does anyone have a solution for me?
Hello, I would like to know why a G Suite account is not accepted with a "Managed Enterprise" scenario. Do we mandatory need to follow the "Google Domain" way? Can somebody please clearly explain what's the difference between the 2 options? Thanks!
Hi everyone, can I add the information of the user who is logged into the console in the email alert? Thank you. Regards,
Hi, Could someone tell me what App generated stands for and how I can retrieve these logs? Thank you, Kamel
I am remotely AE enrolling Zebra devices to an on-premise Deployment Server. The on-premise DS network has a public IP address and firewall rules that will NAT ports 5494 and 443 to the DS. This is restricted even further by only allowing this traffic from the remote public IP address that the device is being enrolled from. The FQDN of the enrollment Rule and DMA are published in a private DNS zone local to the enrollment location. On Android 8, Zebra devices will properly resolve to the local DNS and enroll in the remote DS properly. The Zebra Android 10 devices will not resolve the local The DS and DMA FQDNs are published in a local DNS zone but not in a public DNS. The GoogleMobiControl Agent on Zebra Android 8 devices will resolve to the local DNS and enroll properly. The same agent on Zebra Android 10 will not resolve the local DNS and the agent will fail to connect to the DS without a public DNS entry. The agent enrollment error with an enrollment ID is “Fail to connect to Server” Using the enrollment URL, the error is “Invalid URL” On the Zebra Android 10, the WiFi utilities will resolve the DNS FQDN as will Chrome resolve to the MS Web Console login (same FQDN). It seems that only the GoogleMobiControl Agent will not resolve a local DNS Zone on Android 10. I tried this using the current agent: GoogleMobiControl1513_1071.apk and an older agent: GoogleMobiControl1450_1011.apk with the same results. I have not tested this with other mfg devices i.e. Samsung. I have two scenarios where the on-prem DS/DMA FQDN is also a public domain i.e. DSserver.mycompany.com where the host can be added to that public DNS zone. I have additional scenarios where the DS/DMA FQDN is internal i.e. DSserver.mycompany.local and cannot be published to public DNS. I cannot enroll Android 10 devices to those DS servers remotely. Any thoughts?
I un-enrolled a scanner, cleared the data and apps and am trying to re-enroll it. Getting Enrollment Failed on the MobiControl screen on the Zebra MC930B scanner. How do I get it re-enrolled? I tried deleting it in the WebConsole and it shows back up.
I have a Zebra MC930B scanner that was not getting the proper policies and applications, so I unenrolled it, then deleted it from the WebConsole and then did a device / application reset. Now when I go to enroll, I get the following: Enrollment Failed. How do I get it back into the system?
Hello, as this should be possible since Android Enterprise Agent 15.1.2, how to set it ? Even in MC 15.5 I cannot find a setting for it, nor in the help for a new script command or sendinfo parameter. I know I could do this with Zebra MX, XML File or OEMconfig, and have already done this in the past. Martin
Has anyone found a way to decrypt the recovery key for MacOS FileVault, when you choose to save it into MobiControl platform? It appears correctly into "Device Details", at the bottom, but the support team has been unable to explain how to decrypt it. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Hi Soti Community, we successfully enrolled our Zebra MC3300x (Android 10) as work managed device. Sometimes we have the issue, that the device looses it's time information, for example when kept as a backup device. Due to our network regulations devices with wrong time are unable to connect to the network. Therefore we are trying to make the time setting available for the endusers. We did this in the past with our windows devices by linking the .exe from the system. For Android we are faced with the problem, that the clock is not packed into a single package which we can open using the launch command. Also we were not successful using the quick clock intent. As we dont want to push more apps to the device as we have to we are looking for a way to access from the lockdown to the time-settings. Did anyone have success with this and can point us in the right direction? BR Julian
Hello community, Have someone of you ever seen this issue? We want to migrate this TC70 with android 8 from an MC v14.5 to the new v15.5 server. Both server are onPremise in an internal network. The devices doesn´t have a connection outside of the internal network. We try to migrate them just by unenrolling from the old server and enter the new Enrollment ID into the new one. We didn´t tried the Enrollment URL yet. Do you have any ideas what we can do? In our case is no opportunity to factory reset the devices and enrollment with StageNow or semthing. We have files which we want to keep alive on the devices.
It just keeps redirecting to our SSO login. Is there a new URL that we should be using for 'no sso'? I want to make sure we're able to login with a local account before we switch from the AD graph over to Microsoft graph. This worked previously in v15.4.2 (https://soti.mobicontrol.com/MobiControl/WebConsole/?nosso=true). Thanks!
