Hi, I'm locking down a Samsung Active Tab 2 with the Andorid+ SOTI agent. Its running SOTI Surf in single app mode and I would like users to be able to change certain settings from the status bar but not others. I'm able to disable the settings I don't want user to turn on with feature control, but I cant find a way to allow users to change the brightness and rotation settings while at the same time not allowing them to turn off the wifi. Is this possible? Thanks
Is there anyway to stop the lockdown screen exiting all apps on reconnecting to the SOTI server? Our devices (TC75) are out on the road, and the users are using an app, which when the device reconnects to the server after losing signal, lockdown closes/hides the open apps and returns the user to the lockdown home screen. This is a pain for the users. I've seen this happen while on remote control, be using the app. the device goes offline and when it reconnects I see the lockdown, and the app has to be reopened - normally remembers where the user was, but sometimes closes the app completely. Thanks for any suggestions. Gary

Hi,We are using Zebra TC70x GMS devices running Android 7.1.2 with MobiControl using work Managed device and Lockdown Mode.Battery Swap is visible when pressing the power button on the Zebra device, but the app is not opening. If I go to Admin Mode, Battery Swap is not listed among the apps. It is available on the TC70x out of the box.I understand the package name is com.zebra.hotswap, but apart from an instruction about Battery Swap and Device Administrator from Zebra I haven't been able to find any useful info.Any ideas how to get it working?

Hi, Is it possible to deploy a kiosk on a device when enrolled using the generic android for work agent? I'm using the Zebra TC77 with agent version 13.6.0 Build 1928. MobiControl version 14.2.3.1069. The error message I'm getting is "Profile version 2 failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed." The only configuration on the profile is the lockdown. Type of profile is Android Enterprise. Thanks Josh.
Hi All, we are using the SOTI Lockdown Screen with the status bar disabled. We are looking forward to also hide the status bar in order to make the hole screen a little bit prettier. The question is can we show the Information of Battery Status, Wifi-Status and Time display on the Screen without an extreme effort? Would be great if you could give me a short hint on how to do this. Thanks, Steve

Hi, What would be a good option to distribute contacts? At the moment we are using google-accounts. But there can only be 10 devices registrated at the time. Our device-pool is growing rapidly. Changing 10 google-contacts is now a bit laboured. They are all in Lockdown-Mode, therefore the modification should happen without influence of the end-user. Kind regards Johann
Hi, We are having an issue where our Samsung Galaxy Tab A users are on the field and when they change between store wifi and mobile data (and vice versa), they're being chucked back to the Lockdown screen and it starts refreshing. This happens every time and has been confirmed on all devices including the test one I am using. We are running Android 8.1 and MobiControl 13.6.0 Build 1476. Is there a way we can stop it doing this refresh when they change network connections? Any help will be much appreciated! Kind Regards, Josh
Hello, We are displaying the %DEVICENAME% variable in our HTML device lockdown. This part is working fine, but the issue we are running into is that once the device is added to MobiControl, we rename them to match a naming convention that the Device Add Rule cannot replicate (combination of model # and substring of serial #/IMEI#). When we rename the device the name on the lockdown screen does not update until we either make a change to the profile and re-assign it or move the device between groups that cause the profile to be re-applied. How do we automatically force the lockdown screen to refresh this variable, while it is connected, without having to move it between groups or profiles? MC: 14.1 Agent: Android + 13.5 Zebra TC56 Android 7.1.2 LG 12 Thanks, Patrick
Hello, I have a question regarding the Android Lockdown Screen on android+ devices. When you configure a browser call you can use the prefix "http".This launches a Browser in a single page mode without the adress bar and settings. Which Browser is opened here? And can you configure proxy settings for it? Thanks for your help.
Hello all, I have mobicontrol on version: 133.0.3454 Our client is Zebra TC75X and the version of client mobcontrol is on version : 13.6 build 1476 I have two profiles: - one contains a lock down and setting for soti surf (url) - other contain all for black list application Together all works fine :) But imagine this scenario , if user find the lockdown password -> lock down is off With this, I've notice that after several seconds, I see that the application that are black list in the second profile appear ... Why ? The second profile is always enable .. Thanks
Hi I am trying to add the Serial# & Model to a lockdown screen for a Motorola MC9190 WM6.5, for Android MC33 I used the following %MODEL% %SERIALNUM% which works well but this does not work for WM6.5. For WM6.5 I used the following below: Hostname: %MCDEVICENAME% gives me the hostname Serial Number: %SERIALNUM% gives me *NOSERIALNUMBER* Model: %MODEL% gives me %MODEL%
Hi, Customer is usning TC80 AOSP 02-10-02-L-00-A with CFE10, Agent 13.6.0.1257 and MobiControl 14.2.2 (similar behavior was also on 14.2.1) with Enterprise Keyboard as default input method and when scan trigger button on handle is pressed Android shows error message "Application Enterprise Keyboard unfortunately stopped working" while in Lockdown - I've added com.symbol.mxmf.csp.enterprisekeyboard to the Lockdown that works after restart but after some time or when I unlock Lockdown as Admininstrator and then back to User mode the error keeps appeararing again. But when Ent. Keyboard is displayed (input text field selected) it works as expected .. but still shows error message on trigger press When I look to downloaded device agent activity log I can see that the package is whitelisted by Lockdown but also blacklisted?! among with other settings package in line: .. 2019-02-01 22:01:34.883|pool-2-thread-1|I|AP|[TimerPollingForcedManualBlacklistProcessor][applyProfile] - begin {[Lockdown blocked:[com.android.launcher, com.android.systemui/.recents.RecentsActivity,...com.symbol.mxmf.csp.enterprisekeyboard..., com.android.settings/.ConfirmLockGeneric], enabled:true, forcePolling:true, SamsungSoftBlocking:false]}| .. Any ideas appreciated (Whitelist feature did not help) P.S: Also another package that should run on background I've added to the Lockdown items is listed in above log as both whitelisted and blacklisted but it doesn't shows error message when trigger is pressed so possibly it just don't run sometimes.
