Hey there, we have updatet the windows server 2016 to windows server 2019 on the mobicontrol testserver and we get the problem that the mobicontrolsearch service don't start. In the Log Files we can't found an error. the service is started for 1sec and then carshed. We are using MobiControl 15.4. We have try to update to Mobicontrol 15.5 but there he say after the update on the webconsole, he try to finish the update and hangs stop by 0%... and the mobicontrolsearch services get the same error. netframework 4.8 is installed and as java we are using OpenJDK11U-jre_x64_windows_11.0.13_8. Hi As we know, in MobiControl, there's an option to assign both a user from Identity or an LDAP (AzureAD, Okta, etc). For our purposes, we use Okta. We have managed to create an application in Okta to create the SAML for authentication/authorization. This part is fine because we can pull some users from Okta. And that is precisely the problem. We cannot find all of the Okta users when trying to assign a user to a device from the MobiControl Dashboard. Is there any troubleshooting I can do there? In my opinion, the integration is done correctly, otherwise I wouldn't be able to find anyone. Thanks a lot
I have some Zebra MC9300 devices with Android 8.1.0 on them. There were enrolled as Android Enterprise DO mode about 3 years ago. There were on a network behind a firewall for a long time as we did not need them to get updates from the google play store. Now we are migrating to a new Citrix environment and need them to have the latest version of the Citrix Workspace app as well as the latest versions of Chrome/Webview. However I have noticed that on at least four of the devices they now show an error from Google to verify it is you. We did recently open up firewall rules to allow the devices to talk to the GMS services. Is there anyway other than a wipe/re-enroll to get past this error? This is for Android Enterprise dedicated devices or Device Owner mode so it is not like we can put a standard google account in to verify.
I am just setting up some new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 devices, same model as devices we have used previously. The activation and profile etc add works perfectly. The initial file sync we have though is failing with the error "Insufficient free storage on device" - this is not the case, there is more than 45Gb free on the device (files to sync total <1Gb). File sync is basically pulling down some files from the server to a folder on the device, nothing fancy. It has worked on devices before. Any clues as to what the issue could be now?I can give any more info required if you ask.
2 days ago profile was removed, still it is in removal pending. Is there any script for removing profile for a single device?
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a Browser for my windows mobile / ce devices.For our android devices we use soti surf, which is working really good, unfortunately the browser is unavailable for windows mobile /ce as far as i know.We used internet explorer in the past just a for a few scanner. At some Point this year we will need to use a browser for all devices and won't have native application anymore. Customization features for internet explorer are very limited and not manageable remotely. I have a few requirements.- slight customization options (kiok mode), not necessary but would be really nice for users- js support, can be a very old verison- remotely manageable- no further costs for the browser itself( Devices will be replaced when damaged and not rebought) I know the devices are EOL but maybe someone had similar requirements and found a suitable browser.Thank you very much for reading.If you need any more information feel free to ask.Best RegardsFlorian

Hi,I have a problem with Mobicontrol. We use SOTI Mobicontrol as the default installation on all our laptops. My company needs to replicate operating system images on hundreds of laptops simultaneously, as we always prepare equipment in batches. We have a problem with Mobicontrol, because when replicating the images the equipment is overlapping instead of recognizing the different serial numbers. When we replicate hundreds of devices, they all appear as just one in the portal. How can I solve this problem?
Recently had a batch of Honeywell CK65's come in that were Android 10, up to this point we were using CK65's that were Android 9. It seems as though Honeywell has updated several internal components in the CK65's due to supply chain issues that don't allow you to downgrade to 9. So I'm looking to update all of our existing CK65's to 10. I did a file sync of 90.00.12 and the update went off without an issue.I came from 88.00.17 on my test unit. After the reboot, I noticed two issues.The first is that when I look at Applications under the device, they show as all of them being Uninstalled. With the one exception of the Honeywell UEMConnect software that's a mandatory installed application. The second is with the Native Lockdown mode. None of the applications will fire off.Until, I go into Administrative mode. If I just toggle between Administrative and then User. The applications will work. As soon as I reboot the device, the applications won't function until I bounce between Administrative mode and User mode. The two applications inparticular I've tested with are BasicTE and SmartTE(Staylinked). Android Agent version: 15.1.2.1075Honeywell Plugin version: 1.19.2.118
I am testing the firewall configuration in the Android Classic Profile, and I am having a problem with the cellular data restriction not applying correctly. I am testing by restricting all network traffic on both WIFI and Cellular for the google Chrome application. I have outlined the process I used below along with screenshots for reference 1. screenshot below displays the rule configuration in MobiControl2. screenshot below shows that the profile was successfully installed to the device 3. screenshot below shows in the Deployment server logs that the Knox Firewall rule is being pushed to the device 4. writeprivatestring_FirewallCommand.png shows the specific MobiControl script commands that are being pushed to the device 5. screenshot below shows the commandin logcat on the android phone the IPTables command being run on the device. 6. logcat_enableFirewallFailed.png - shows the line in logcat on Android where it says "Enable Firewall failed" I have verified that the rules I am using successfully restrict traffic on a WIFI network, but for some reason, they do not work over a cell connection (I am using Verizon Wireless) I have tested on a Samsung J3 and a Samsung S21 using the Samsung ELM agent along with varying OS versions and Samsung Knox versions and I get the same result. Can someone help with figuring out why the firewall rule will not apply over a cellular connection?
We just moved some TC75x devices from Android 7.1.2 to 8.1.0 and because of that I had to change the lockdown mode from native to activity suppression so the user can see the top bar. We are having an issue where every once and a while when pressing the yellow scan button, it is opening the recent application list and then kicks the user to the kiosk. I thought this was tied to Android 8 but it is also happening on our 7 devices where I made the lockdown change. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi. I have some Zebra TC26 enrolled on soti wich are running on kiosk mode. They show just one app (company core app) but I will like to add the app manual .pdf formated. If I add the line whit command file:// link appears but nothing happens. the only mode I´ve find was installing the reader onto main screen but i dislike. How I can call a pdf file from this screen? Hello, I've got a problem with the log-in on shared device. sometimes, I have to log in only with "username", sometimes it's nescessary to set the domain before the username, e.g "domain\username". The device is always connected to public internet, not to an internal wifi network. I don't know how to affect the credentials, is there a solution for that? BR
Hello, I can't find an agent that works on the UNITECH EA600 with the MOBICONTROL V15.4.2.1020 console.I downloaded on the following page "https://docs.soti.net/mobicontrolagentdownloads/" the device agent V13.5.1 for the EA600 but it does not work.Do you have a version of the device agent that allows to register the devices in the SOTI MOBICONTROL console? Hello, Is there a way to have specific apps not uninstall under Android Enterprise with managed Google Playstore? I have a use use where I want a specific app not able to uninstall but want to give end users the flexibility to uninstall other apps as necessary.
