Good Morning. I am trying to upgrade the agent on several of our Android Enterprise devices. I have not been able to upgrade using the button. I will select upgrade and upgrade now instead of start on schedule. I will get a message that says "Upgrade Agent Action has been sent to device" The message is a success message. When I go to check the agent version, it remains the same. Is there an extra step I need to do in order to upgrade the agent? Soti Cloud version 14.4.6 Current agent on tablet: 14.1.4.1010 Trying to update to Agent Version 14.5.4.1016 Settings Manager app 15.0.1 requires to have Agent 14.4.7 or higher to use. I have been able to upgrade it using a profile package. But I need to be able to upgrade one specific device. What is the best way to do this?
I have a customer who is trying to use Smart Switch to copy over everything including the home screen layout from one tablet to another. For some reason, the likes of Home Screen is not showing as an option, whereas if I try and copy my AE device to my work phone which is not on MobiControl, the home screen displays. What config change do I need to make to allow the likes of the home screen to show in the app? I know there are several options/settings within the Knox Service Plugin, but I've no idea what does what within there?
Hi there, I`m facing a issue regarding Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5. I`ve installed an application that monitor the fleet but the users find a way to exit from it and now they have access to google search bar(marked withe the red line) and some apps like google play, google, setting and it`s not ok. I didn`t find a way to block this security breach. As you may find in the picture below, the term "Cautare" means "Google search bar" and "Inchidere totala" means "Close All". The user should`nt have the possibility to leave the app and see these options(search bar and apps). Agent version: 14.5.5, but I`ve tried even with older agent versions but I`m facing the same issue. OS version it`s Android 11, One UI 3.1. Please let me know what to do in order to block the user to leave the main application. Thank you very much for your support.
A customer of ours is querying where pushed (downloaded) files from the content library are stored on the tablet? I presume in some 'non-visible' locker within MobiControl?
I have deployed Samsung Galaxy Note phones for several years now, starting with Note 4 and now we have a handful of Note 9s in the field (we do equipment delivery, so I don't need the latest and greatest). I've noticed that when I click the Remote Control function in MobiControl's web interface, I can only view a Note 9s screen. I cannot actually interact with the screen as I did on Note 4-8. I can click the Home, Lock, etc. buttons at the bottom of the remote control interface, but anything "on-screen" does not respond to my mouse movements. These phones are geographically distributed, so I can't bring them in-house to make any config updates; only push out new updates from the Mobi console. How can I remote control my Note 9s? Is this just something that I have to give up on Note 9 and newer phones? Agent Version 14.5.5.1023 Android 10 Note 9 SM-N960U
Good Morning. I pushed a very heavy update to our profile that contains our company devices. For the most part, the installation is going well. I have about 9 devices that are showing "Partially Installed" .I'd like to identify those devices to take a look at the configuration and troubleshoot. This profile has over 500 devices, so looking through each device is not efficient. Do SOTI have a feature or script to ping the partially installed devices?
Hi, I've noticed that my custom data is no longer working on our new devices (TC57X Android 10). From the logs: "Error message received from device (Unable to read file at specified path: /internal/PIN.ini)" This custom data rule works on the older devices; TC55 Android+ and TC56 Android Enterprise. I'm guessing it's an Android security thing, not allowing access to the internal storage? The file is in the only internal storage location accessible: "/sdcard/" Device TC57X OS 10 Agent 15.0.0.1110 MC v15.4 Custom Data Name: PIN Build Type: INI File INI File name /internal/PIN.ini Section Name: PIN Value Name: PIN Data type: STRING We also use the Custom Data to rename the devices (also not working), for this the INI file has the HW Serials as the Section name and the value is the easier to read device name. Hello, I'm trying to edit my existing PowerShell script that created the device group but I'm a bit confused on the formatting needed for the custom attribute. For device group creation, I looked at the forums and copied the example of using: $devicegroup = @{} $devicegroup["Name"] = $Name $devicegroup["Path"] = $Path + $Name $devicegroup["Icon"] = "Red" $devicegroup["Kind"] = "Regular" I tried changing it around to try to mimic the json on the API page but not luck, even tried doing: $customAttribute = '{ "Attributes" : [ { "AttributeName":"StoreNumber", "AttributeValue":"1234"}]}' but that is also failing on me. Anyone have any suggestions?
Good Morning, I am looking for a way to generate a report to see what devices are currently on and connected to SOTI. I am pushing several App packages tonight and would like to have an idea of how many devices are currently connected at the time of the updates so I can monitor and support if needed. I would also like to figure out a way to check what devices haven't connected in a while lets say 1 week or 1 month. What is the best method to achieve these two sets of data?
We have 250 Pixel 5's we'd like to disable the Tap to Wake feature on. We have nurses that say it is being woken while they are walking around and making calls. Is there a configuration profile or a script that could disable that feature.
Setup basic profile for android enterprise Samsung tablet (os11) with kiosk mode (with only chrome) and Application control. Everything was working correctly until a barcode scanner was connected to the tablet via usb. When the user taps on an input field, the keyboard does not display. I have removed the scanner and rebooted the tablet, but I cannot enable the keyboard again. I have not disabled any settings or lockdowns. I work for a large company and Intune is used for all external devices like cell phones but I have MobiControl v15 fpr internal use with Zebra TC21 & TC70x. Can they both use the same Android Enterprise setup?
We are trying to build Web Apps that we can deploy through MobiControl but setup in Managed Google Play but the section that is used for the Web Apps is missing. On the support article provided by Google, they mention getting in contact with your EMM provider but word is one of our guys just setup the account so I am not sure where to go from here to get this enabled.
I'm not sure if anyone's able to assist and where I have gone wrong. I have been tasked with setting up an entirely new Soti Mobicontrol server instance, for the most part all seems to be going well, however Web Console and MobiControl Search Services are greyed out. I am unable to access a web console at all, despite the other services (barring a certificate issue related to iOS which we aren't interested in currently) all showing green. This is an On Premises version, running 15.4.1. Am I missing something? I checked over the help guide but there was nothing there illustrating whether this kind of scenario came up, unless there are more extensive help guides anywhere. Thank you
Hello, I have a small issue with the camera function in SOTI Surf. As shown in the picture below, every time the camera function is used, i got to choose an action between Camera and Files. This is a little bit annoying to always click "camera" before the camera is activated. So my question is, how can i set the camera as the "default action", and not receive this option every time the camera will be used?
